self Certificate Authority, using /etc/pki/tls/misc/CA
Hello all, lately i am facing problems with Certification Authorities. I have used centos script /etc/pki/tls/misc/CA my own certificate authority. In next steps i am generating requests for certificates to services such as LDAP,NNRPD and lately signing requests with CA. My approach is to import my own CA into Windows Vista OS as root CA and trusted, to avoid messages in clients such as

Version 2.0 with multiple IP/TLS certificate support.
Hello, I sent this email earlier but for some reason it did not go through so I will try again! I am using Dovecot on several servers that require multiple domain SSL certificates. I like Dovecot very much because of its speed and stability. Currently, Dovecot does not support multiple SSL certificates directly although I have gotten around this problem with multiple Dovecot instances

Incompatibility Thunderbirds Auth Mech TLS-Certificate <-> Dovecot
Hello, it seems there there is an issue regarding "TLS-Certtificate" authentication in Thunderbird and Dovecot. Obviously client certificate is recognized by Dovecot: Apr 25 14:29:01 dovecot dovecot: imap-login: Valid certificate: /emailAddress=christian.felsing at example.net/CN=Christian Felsing (Test)/OU=CF Certificates/O=example.net/C=DE AFAIK Dovecot always requires IMAP login,

how to create a working certificate for using TLS?
Hi, how can I create a self-signed certificate for asterisk which actually works? I had one that did work, and yesterday it suddenly quit working for no reason. I had to spend hours to create another one that would finally work, and it suddenly quit working today. The certificate verifies just fine with openssl verify -verbose -CAfile ca.crt asterisk.pem Yet asterisk keeps saying:

Problem with intermediate certificate (tls cafile)
If I were guessing, based on some experience with certificate usage in other apps, concatenate your certificate and intermediate certificates into a single file which is then your "tls certfile" then point "tls cafile" to your issuers proper CA or just to your distro's CA bundle, e.g /etc/pki/tls/certs/ca-bundle.crt.
