[Flac-users] Linux OGG-FLAC player?
I have a set of ogg-flac files that I've ripped from a cd (with .ogg extension), but it appears that the standard XMMS flac plugin doesn't support them. What should I use on Linux to play these files (and, possibly, tag them)? Thanks in advance. -- Joel Konkle-Parker Webmaster [Ballsome.com] E-mail [jjk3@msstate.edu]

"Severe - Unable to create a directory under ..."
Hi, I'm playing around with installation of a number of older, Win 98/Win ME era sound programs. One I'm working on right now comes up with what, for me, is sort of a standard problem. I get a dialog box with this message: "Severe - Unable to create a directory under C:\PROG~FBU\GSampler. Please check write access to this directory." I'm running the installation form an

[PATCH 4/5] installers: fix a possible buffer overflow when looking for LDLINUX_MAGIC
If the ldlinux being processed is garbage, the search for LDLINUX_MAGIC will overflow its buffer - fix that. I did encounter this issue in Rufus as, due to notorious incompatibilities between different versions of ldlinux.sys and the com32's residing on an ISO, we download a version specific ldlinux.sys from our server... which may get trashed if the user sits behind one of these

uint decode error on visual studio...
Is this a common warning? The decoder doesn't return an error on it, but I see it a lot in my test application on windows. It is non existent on my linux box. I haven't tried mingw yet. please note that I'm using visual studio 2008 w/the vcproj that Bjoern Rasmussen made for 0.5.2 (w/some file references removed) at the moment and it is giving a lot of C4554 warnings

I believe you can do this with Ogg FLAC. The Ogg container manages the multiple FLAC streams. Theoretically, we'll never see limit

[LLVMdev] MergeFunctions: reduce complexity to O(log(N))
Hi Stepan, Sorry for the delay. It's great that you are working on MergeFunctions as well and I agree, we should definitely try to combine our efforts to improve MergeFunctions. Just to give you some context, the pass (with the similar function merging patch) is already being used in a production setting. From my point of view, it would be better if we focus on improving its capability

[LLVMdev] MergeFunctions: reduce complexity to O(log(N))
Hello Sean and Tobias, Sean, Thank you. Could you describe Nick's ideas in few words or give me links to your discussion, so I could adapt my ideas to it. Tobias, Your patch fails on several modules in my benchmark (73 of ~1800 tests). I have sent one as attachment. See statistics files for more details, all the .ll files you could simply find in test-suite object directory (after

DOS apps
Regarding WINE support for DOS apps: Is there some fundamental reason why WINE could not be made to support old DOS apps (like Warcraft), or is it just a matter of missing libraries and such? In other words, is there a reason why DosBox, etc. are full hardware emulators, or why full DOS library support in WINE still wouldn't be enough? Thanks, -- Joel Parker
