Crash with Xinerama enabled [patch]
Dear nouveau hackers,
I got as far as figuring out that Xinerama is deprecated now... Too bad
WindowMaker doesn't play well with RandR. While painfully learning about
it, I managed to crash my Xorg 1.5.3 server through the nouveau driver.
The attached patch fixes it.
To reproduce the crash, simply run X with Xinerama enabled.

x11() and Xinerama settings
Hello
Since I changed my X11 settings to a Xinerama setup, calls to x11() result in
windows with a width half the size of the one specified by the corresponding
parameter. Furthermore, x axis labels are overlapping. Other devices (e.g.
pdf()), are not affected by these distortions.
Did anybody have the same problem, and if so, how did you solve it? ( I'm

Apps segfaulting, problem with X?
Hello,
I'm having big trouble getting wine to work.
What I basically want to do is get steam to work, now it even fails to launch at all. It updates to 99% and then it segfaults. Other games has done this too (rollercoaster tycoon 2, starcraft 2). I followed the instructions on winehq, removed oriya/samyak fonts and I don't think I've done anything wrong - I've installed steam

multiple cards and monitors with xrandr and opengl
Hi,
Thanks for your advice..! I have a few follow-up questions (tagged
below Q1, Q2 and Q3). Any help highly/extremely appreciated.
Regarding to "reverse prime", etc. I have read the following page:
https://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/Optimus/
So, if we want a single "macro" xscreen that spans two cards, for example:
Card 0, connected to monitor 0
Card 1, connected to

Window isn't readrawn after beeing in background
Hi,
I've already made a bug out of this: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25160 but it seems only to happen for me.
I've asked others, e.g. the other test-result-submitter for Black Prophecy, no one has the same problem. So I think it's somehow related to my own wine-settings.
I'm using gentoo with openbox and wine-1.3.7, the following configure:
Code:
./configure

Re: Dual Monitors -- "nv" v. "nvidia"
From: Richard Humphrey <rlhumphrey at gmail.com>
> Thanks that did the trick
Although nVidia does put people on the Freedomware "nv" driver,
and it can handle multiple framebuffers for Xinerama, VIVO
(video in, video out), etc...,
the Standardware "nvidia" driver is far easier to deal with for
single framebuffer (no Xinerama) multiple displays, VIVO, etc...,

Prepare > Properties in Office 2007 causes WINE to freeze
I'm using 64-bit (multilib) Gentoo/Sabayon Linux with the Portage source package manager only:
Code:
# uname -a
Linux meshedgedx 3.1.0-sabayon #1 SMP Tue Nov 8 01:01:54 GMT 2011 x86_64 Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU Q 720 @ 1.60GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux
I used the Portage package manager to install 64-bit WINE with both win32 and win64 support:
Code:
# eix -I app-emulation/wine

Feature request: Multi-head awareness in compiz and plugins
There have been offered several patches in order to forward Xinerama
support to Xgl and patches for compiz to make use of it (like iXce's
ones, which were ignored).
So far the patched up compiz is working pretty good and makes it
effectively usable in such setups (aside of that those patches will
always drift away from official CVS and need to be touched for each
commit).
However it seems
