Shift the normal curve to the top or near to the top of the histogram

Shift the normal curve to the top or near to the top of the histogram
Dear All: One more thing. I want to add the normal curve to the histogram. Is there away to stretch the peak of the curve to the top of the histogram or at least near to the top of the histogram. Please see the code below. Lizard.tail.lengths <- c(6.2, 6.6, 7.1, 7.4, 7.6, 7.9, 8, 8.3, 8.4, 8.5, 8.6,8.8, 8.8, 9.1, 9.2, 9.4, 9.4, 9.7, 9.9, 10.2, 10.4, 10.8,11.3, 11.9) x<-seq(5,12, 0.001)

bin/55346: /bin/sh eats memory and CPU infinitely
Hi! It seems /bin/sh in 4.8-STABLE has problem with SIGCHLD processing. In short, it often fails to process it correctly, zombies float around, jobs are not marked as finished in jobtab[] that fills memory and takes much CPU to be processed. Run this one-liner using /bin/sh and see hundreds of zombies: #!/bin/sh while :; do : & done A kernel will halt this as soon as it reaches limits and

Using R_MakeExternalPtr
Hi all, I've been writing a package and I've run into a problem that I'm unsure how to solve. I am looking to pass a C++ class object to R so that it may be passed back to another C++ function later on to be used. I'm quite new to R and this is my first time writing a package, so I hope you can bear with me. The following is how I create the class and use

Remove spacing at the top and bottom of a plot
The default margins are set as lines below, left, top, and right using mar=c(5.1, 4.1, 4.1, 2.1). Just change the top margin something like 1.1: par(mfrow=c(1,2), mar=c(5.1, 4.1, 1.1, 2.1)) --------------------------- David L. bonding mode
I'm testing GlusterFS and Lizard. I've set both SDS in replica 3. All servers are configured with bonding mode "balance-rr" with 2x1Gbps nic With iperf i'm able to saturate both link with a single connection. With Lizard i'm able to saturate both link with a single "dd" write With gluster i'm able to saturate only one link, reaching about 35MB/s (35*3*8 =

Using the Sun Grid Engine with R-3.0
Dear all In previous R versions I ran R jobs on our cluster managed by SUN Grid Engine using the Rsge package. With the R-3.0 release, the package Rsge has been discontinued. What would be the equivalent way of running jobs on the cluster using current packages? I understand that the parallel package has been updated. What would be the equivalent to the lines below: require(Rsge)

50% performance of custom R build compared to PPA R for a command
Hi, I have R installed from the Ubuntu PPA and a local build of R (more details below). I will refer to these as "R" and "R-devel", respectively. I've reproduced the following on Ubuntu 13.10 and 14.04. Below is an example (which requires the bootstrap package) that takes 10 seconds for me to run with R-devel and 5 seconds with R library(bootstrap) str(tooth) theta <-
