Letting you know about a broken link
Hi,
I just wanted to let you know about a link that seems to be broken on this page http://www.hdt-project.org/.
Here's the link http://www.mandriva.com/fr "Mandriva Linux", but the page doesn?t seem to be active any more.
We've put together a guide to Mandriva; you can see it here http://wiht.link/mandrivalinux. I thought it may make a good replacement.
Kind Regards,

Hello -
The final schedule for the Asterisk birds-of-a-feather meeting (as
an adjunct to the VON conference) in Boston looks like this:
Tuesday, September 23rd at 8:15 at VinnyT's of Boston near the Hynes
Convention Center.
We'll try to get a corner booth in the "downstairs room", and look
for the guy wearing the blue button-down shirt with VON logos on the
breast pocket

Django 1.5 Upgrade
Anyone here using django on centos.
On my Mac, running python 2.7, I upgraded from 1.4 to 1.5 by doing this:
rm -rf /Library/Python/2.7/site-packages/django
Followed by python setup.py install in the dir I untar-ed Django-1.5.1 to.
This all worked fine.
On a Centos system running python 2.6 I did:
rm -rf /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/django followed by the
setup.py install. My django app

Model CRUD via web services
Hello,
I was wondering if there was any automated (may be scaffolding) way of
exposing Model CRUD via web services.
I found this ticket for django, but nothing for Rails.
http://code.djangoproject.com/ticket/115
Thanks in advance for your opinions and suggestions.
Regards.

Bonferroni with unequal sample sizes
Hello-
I have run an ANOVA on 4 treatments with unequal sample sizes (n=9,7,10 and 10). I want to determine where my sig. differences are between treatments using a Bonferroni test, and have run the code:
pairwise.t.test(Wk16, Treatment, p.adf="bonf")
I receive an error message stating that my arguments are of unequal length:
Error in tapply(x, g, mean, na.rm = TRUE) :

I am trying to import data from a SAS XPORT file that contains 24 SAS files.
When I use the "read.xport" procedure only about 16 data frames (components)

R programming question
Dear All.,
I've created R-code for which a user will be asked to choose between 2
analyses. I've written one function for each type of analysis. Within
each function, the users is prompted to enter information. An example
is:
cat("Enter value for lower Linf :\n")
L1<-scan(n=1)
cat("Enter value for upper Linf :\n")
L2<-scan(n=1)

Help: Ticket farmers
Hi all,
Now that it looks like we have some kind of process to manage
tickets, I need people to help me with that process.
There are currently something like 117 open tickets, and there are
about 6 different dimensions on which these tickets can be
categorized (e.g., complexity, triage stage -- all the report times
listed on the Reports page).
My plan is to work my fingers raw going

Samba management using python/django?
Hi,
I`ve searched the net looking for a way to synchronize users in a
django-based web project ( www.djangoproject.com ) with samba users. I
want all registered django users to have access to a user-specific
password protected share and I want to maintain the users using
django`s built-in user management.
My question is easy; can I add/edit/delete samba users, samba shares, set samba
passwords

Help with downloading clim.pact
I am wondering if anyone might know why the package clim.pact won't
install properly. I have tried many URL sites and the same thing
happens. I get the error message below. I also tried downloading the
ZIP from the CRAN site and extracting the file myself, but an error
message (something like, "not an archive file") appears. I operate
through Windows.
Thanks.

Problem with & in domain name.
Hi,
I'm using Samba 2.2.4 and I'm trying to connect via domain level security,
but I'm having problems which I think are due to the fact that the NT
domain contains an ampersand. (I know this is bad, but I inherited it...)
I can add the samba server to the domain with the command:
smbpasswd -j MFP\&MFA -r NTSERVER -Uadministrator

Reshaping a dataframe with conditional summary of columns - apply or reshape?
I need to do a somewhat complex rearrangement of an existing dataframe that
involves an "on-the-fly" conditional summary as well. I've tried to make
the example as simple as possible. Code to produce the object being acted
on is at the end of the message. I hope this isn't too much for a single
posting. Any guidance will be much appreciated.
The input example looks like
