[PATCH] mips/setjmp.S don't save and restore float point registers
Klibc FTBFS with '-mno-odd-spreg' on mips32(el) platforms, As it try to save/restore odd-number FPR. Indeed no other architectures save/restore FPR at all. It shouldn't be needed. --- usr/klibc/arch/mips/setjmp.S | 24 ------------------------ 1 file changed, 24 deletions(-) diff --git a/usr/klibc/arch/mips/setjmp.S b/usr/klibc/arch/mips/setjmp.S index 68eed19..21e4115 100644 ---

[PATCH] mips/setjmp.S don't save and restore float point registers
Any idea about it? It may be a serious problem, as some distributions are using FPXX by default. [PATCH 0/5] Various MIPS fixes
Hi, I noticed that klibc started crashing on 64-bit MIPS and in my quest to fix the bug I got a bit carried away and fixed a few other things as well. Here are various miscellaneous MIPS patches, although the first patch is the important one. Thanks, James *** BLURB HERE *** James Cowgill (5): mips64: compile with -mno-abicalls mips: use -Ttext-segment when linking shared library

[LLVMdev] Question about post RA scheduler
I am having trouble trying to enable post RA scheduler for the Mips backend. This is the bit code of the function I am compiling: (gdb) p MF.Fn->dump() define void @PointToHPoint(%struct.HPointStruct* noalias sret %agg.result, %struct.ObjPointStruct* byval %P) nounwind { entry: %res = alloca %struct.HPointStruct, align 8 %x2 = bitcast %struct.ObjPointStruct* %P to double* %0 = load

[LLVMdev] Question about post RA scheduler
I filed a bug report (Bug 12205). Please take a look when you have time. Per your suggestion, I also attached a patch which attaches to load or store nodes a machinepointerinfo that points to a stack frame object when it can infer they are actually reading from or writing to the stack. The test that was failing passes if I apply this patch, but I doubt this is the right approach, because this

[LLVMdev] Question about post RA scheduler
Thank you for your suggestions. I implemented the first approach (provided the byval argument and offset to MachinePointerInfo) and it seems to have fixed the instruction ordering problem. It was a lot simpler than initially expected. In this particular case, is the user responsible for providing alias information to MachinePointerInfo to guarantee instructions are emitted in the correct order?

[LLVMdev] [PATCH] LLVM build failure on OpenBSD/mips64
I'm just passing this patch on to the list as I know Brian is busy and I had proded him to file the bug report. http://llvm.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=14721 "binutils on OpenBSD is quite old, which causes the build on mips64el to fail on MipsJITInfo.cpp - it complains of illegal operands. The attachment patches it so that it will build. All the patch does is replace the register aliases

[LLVMdev] Is there any tool can generate MIPS ELF file?
> So in summary, each step is ABI compatible with the previous step. The linker will ensure that the end-user doesn't try to do the second step before the first step is finished since it will refuse to link a binary that contains both O32 and O32+fp64. It will produce an O32 binary given a combination of O32+fpxx, and similarly a O32+fp64 binary given a combination O32+fpxx and O32+fp64.

[LLVMdev] Mips backend -- Incorrect globaladdr/constpool address generation when bit 15 of address is set?
Hi All, In SVN head, MipsISelDAGToDAG.cpp has the following optimization: // Operand is a result from an ADD. if (Addr.getOpcode() == ISD::ADD) { // When loading from constant pools, load the lower address part in // the instruction itself. Example, instead of: // lui $2, %hi($CPI1_0) // addiu $2, $2, %lo($CPI1_0) // lwc1 $f0, 0($2) // Generate: //

[LLVMdev] [llvm] r210424 - Revert "Do materialize for floating point"
Why are you reverting patches for any area that you have no authorization for ? No build was broken. This patch is fine. I am authorized to check in to the Mips area and Daniel is the maintainer for that area.
