problem loading initrd
Hi, I am trying to load kernel 2.6.6 on a Soekris net4521 from the network using PXE. I built my initrd with mkinitrd. RedHat nash (while running linuxrc) hangs after mounting /proc and says "Creating block devices". I am using the pxelinux.0 from the syslinux-2.10 distribution and the kernel and initrd were built on redhat 9.0. I built my kernel with BLK_DEV_RAM, RAMFS, TMPFS,

[Bug 36090] [NV34] [NV49] terminal's visual bell is very slow with nouveau
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=36090 --- Comment #10 from Ilia Mirkin <imirkin at alum.mit.edu> --- Hmmm... FWIW I couldn't reproduce any oddness with a NV42 card, kernel 3.11, and xf86-video-nouveau 1.0.9 both with and without xcompmgr running. Without a compositor, it _is_ a bit on the slow side, but like a half-second, nothing like the 3s delay mentioned in the original

[Bug 36090] [NV34] [NV49] terminal's visual bell is very slow with nouveau
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=36090 --- Comment #11 from aebenjam at opentext.com --- Interesting. So, I'm a Fedora (currently v18) user. I created a stock account, logged in to a standard Gnome environment, and fired up an xterm with visual bell running, and it doesn't have the same problem. In fact, I couldn't even SEE a visual bell. Odd. All I could tell was that

Speex 1.0.5 and 1.1.8 are out!
Hi, I not really keeping track of the revision numbers for releases. As for the tags, 1.1.8 is at http://svn.xiph.org/tags/speex-1-1-8/ and 1.0.5 is at http://svn.xiph.org/tags/speex-1-0-5 For older releases, the tags are sometimes just rel-x-y-y because that's what I was doing before the switch to svn (the tree was imported from cvs). Oh, and the 1.0 branch is in

Speex 1.0.5 and 1.1.8 are out!
Hi everyone, As many noticed, I just released 1.0.5 and 1.1.8 over the weekend. There isn't much new in 1.0.5, except that I added all the API changes from 1.1.x so that it's possible to write code that will work with both 1.0.5 and 1.1.8. As for 1.1.8, here are the changes: - Initial TI C5x port: I integrated a patch from Jamey Hicks - Some fixed-point improvements and fixes - Better

1.1.8 upgrade to 1.2
Hi, I'm hoping to upgrade to 1.2 in the next couple of days. I remember seeing something mentioning some sort of config change, but unfortunately I don't remember where I saw it nor what the config option was. Are there any gotchas I need to watch out for in the change to 1.2 from 1.1.8? I've included dovecot -n below. Thanks Guy #dovecot -n # 1.1.8: /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf # OS:
