[ANNOUNCE] libXfont2 2.0.4
libXfont provides the core of the legacy X11 font system, handling the index files (fonts.dir, fonts.alias, fonts.scale), the various font file formats, and rasterizing them. It is used by the X servers, and will eventually be used by the X Font Server (xfs), but should not be used by normal X11 clients. X11 clients access fonts via either the new APIs in libXft, or the legacy APIs in libX11.

[ANNOUNCE] libXfont2 2.0.0
Here's the first version of a new libXfont2 library; it's the same as the old libXfont libary, but has a shiny new API/ABI that avoids referencing symbols in the X server directly. The code for the X server to use this version is awaiting review and merging still. Alan Coopersmith (1): doc: add a couple olinks to fsproto & xfs-design docs Benjamin Tissoires (1):

[ANNOUNCE] libXfont 1.5.2
Maintenance branch release, primarily for bdftopcf's benefit as it's the only thing that really needs the Xfont1 API. (xfs uses it too, I believe, but could be ported to Xfont2). If someone wanted to step up and merge Xfont1 into bdtopcf directly, that'd be great. [ANNOUNCE] xfs 1.2.0
This release ports the X Font Server to libXfont 2.x. Distributions may now drop libXfont 1.x at their convenience. This conversion has been lightly tested but some issues may remain; please report any new issues to xorg-devel at lists.x.org. Accumulating CPU load from Xorg process with DRI3
I'm aware of this issue, and am experiencing it myself. The issue is that drmmode_event_handler takes up more and more CPU time. It seems like some events are being "left behind". I haven't had time to debug it further yet though. I also have DRI3 enabled, but only very rarely do I make use of my secondary GPUs, and I'm pretty sure I've seen the problem happen without

Accumulating CPU load from Xorg process with DRI3
I observed this bug for quite some time, but so far I workarounded it with just setting DRI2 (default) in xorg.conf.d/20-nouveau.conf Now with two GPU i iwsh to use DRI3, so right now it set up like this: cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-nouveau.conf Section "Device" Identifier "Card0" Driver "nouveau" Option "PageFlip" "1" #Option

[ANNOUNCE] xorg-server 1.18.99.2
I think we're ready for RC1 at this point, but wanted to give people a chance to scream about "just one more API change" until tomorrow. Let me know if there's something I'm missing; if I don't hear anything, I'll be tagging RC1 in the morning. [LLVMdev] RFC: Bugpoint Patch
I'm running into a problem where I need to have the "gcc" that's executed by "bugpoint" take certain arguments that aren't applicable to "llc". So, I came up with this patch, that adds a new flag "-gcc-tool-args". It's similar to "-tool-args" but passes the command line arguments to gcc instead of to llc. Comments? -bw
