upgrade from 1.6.2 -> 1.6.3 questions?
I have read though the manual concerning upgrading. It only seems to
discuss going from 1.4 -> 1.6.
Do the same procedures need to be followed from a minor point rev?
Thanks!

[ANNOUNCE] xf86-input-synaptics 1.6.3
synaptics 1.6.3 is now available. Over the RC this release only includes a
config example.
Compared to 1.6.2, we've had a memory leak fixed, better behaviour for
synaptics soft buttons and, most importantly, a fix to reset the touch state
after suspend.
Cheers,
Peter

[ANNOUNCE] xinput 1.6.3
/me blows the dust off this git repo
xinput 1.6.3 is now available, incorporating the best of the last (checks
calendar) four years. Most of this is buildsystem tidyup that mattered back
then but is less exciting now in these modern times.
The only user-visible change is that xinput will now print a warning when
run against XWayland in the hope that this will reduce the number of
confused users

MATROX GPU - xorg-x11-drv-mga-1.6.3 on supermicro server
Hello Guys,
our cluster runs till 2014 on supermicro board.
It is not unusual that still mainboards with mga graphics cards are delivered.
So I have then adjusted the mga driver from centos 6 - the specification file - ,
to be build on CentOS 7. Since then this runs on the headnode without failures.
Maybe you should provide this via epel. The source can be found here:

NetBIOS called name not sent using smbclient 4.0.9 and CUPS 1.6.3
I suspect a bug in either smbclient 4.0.9 or CUPS 1.6.3 (which wouldn't
be Samba's problem, of course) where a linux client does not send the
server's Called Name in the NetBIOS session request sent to a server
using smb. Now, the problem is that my university's print system selects
the print configuration file to use based on matching the Called Name.
No Called Name leads to no

[ANNOUNCE] libX11 1.6.3
This release of libX11 looks bigger than it is, due to a lot of spec/doc
cleanup work that doesn't affect the code itself. There is still a good
deal of bug fixes, code cleanup, locale improvements, and compose key table
additions, including new UTF-8 compose sequences for:
<Multi_key> <R> <equal> : "<U+20B9>" U20b9 # INDIAN RUPEE SIGN

bad 1.6.3 striped write performance
Hi,
I''m seeing what can only be described as dismal striped write
performance from lustre 1.6.3 clients :-/
1.6.2 and 1.6.1 clients are fine. 1.6.4rc3 clients (from cvs a couple
of days ago) are also terrible.
the below shows that the OS (centos4.5/5) or fabric (gigE/IB) or lustre
version on the servers doesn''t matter - the problem is with the 1.6.3
and 1.6.4rc3 client kernels

Compiling ocfs2-tools-1.6.3 on slackware64-13.1
Hello all,
I'm having trouble compiling ocfs2-tools-1.6.3 on slackware64-13.1
These are my configure flags (the last 2 I added after googling this problem, but didn't help):
./configure \
--sbindir=/sbin \
--bin=/bin \
--libdir=/usr/lib${LIBDIRSUFFIX} \
--sysconfdir=/etc \
--datadir=/etc/ocfs2 \
--sharedstatedir=/var/ocfs2 \
--libexecdir=/usr/libexec \
