VDPAU DEINTERLACE
Mesa only supports the non-spatial temporal deinterlace (deint=3). I'm
guessing that due to some unfortunate issues, you're no longer getting
hw accelerated video decoding. Check in vdpauinfo to make sure that
it's indeed showing the relevant codec as supported. If not, you can
turn that back on by updating to mesa 11.2.2, or downgrading your
kernel to 4.2 or earlier. (The issue only

rgl, openmesa, nvidia. Oh my!
I've caused a new problem for myself. I wonder if you have seen it.
On Ubuntu 9.04 I had a lot of hangs with the nvidia packages and so I
updated to the 185 edition on this website:
https://launchpad.net/~nvidia-vdpau/+archive/ppa
The video drivers are much better! However, I notice now I don't have
all of the working pieces of the X11/openGL development toolkit in

Video Hardware Decoding: Jittery Rectangles on Nvidia GT218 NVA8 VP4.
Hi,
I'm having trouble with hardware decoding of video with mpv(1) having
switched from Nvidia's proprietary driver to nouveau due to Arch Linux
removing its nvidia-340xx package.
The machine is an Acer Revo.

gspca - running out of ideas
For video capture from a USB camera, as near as I can tell, there's a
problem with the driver gspca_zc3xx with the latest update to the kernel.
All our cameras were working fine before the update to 2.6.32-358.11.1;
since, two cameras, both on fairly new Dell servers are screwed.
Meanwhile, on some older servers, same update, no problems.
Of the two bad ones, one's got AMD, and the other

[PATCH 1/2] Use gnulib set_nonblocking_flag function instead of fcntl.
The previous code:
fcntl (fd, F_SETFL, O_NONBLOCK)
was technically incorrect, because it would have reset any
other flags on the file descriptor.
Thanks: Eric Blake

Back to gspca
Ok... digging still more into this problem that I'm *still* fighting,
using mplayer and a higher debug level, what I *think* the significant
message is (this is just one example line):

fps = 15.626953, interval = 0.096001, a_skew = 0.000000, corr_skew = 0.000000
