Newsleecher Installer Failing
Hi all, I'm trying to install Newsleecher, available at: http://www.newsleecher.com/?id=download To run the installer, I type: wine nl-setup.exe The installer screen loads successfully. I hit next. I am eventually prompted for a destination directory: c:\Program Files\NewsLeecher On this screen, when I hit next, I get the following dialog box: (!) Installing NewsLeecher Directory

recently moved to 1.1.25, no wine-pthread command
I have done some reading and gather than wine-pthread was dropped somewhere around 1.1.19. Problem I have is that I have an application (newsleecher) which effectively never starts up (gave it 10 minutes at one point, used 100% cpu the whole time) with strait wine command on the older wine version, I think 1.0.something, came with ubuntu 8.04 in one of the unsupported repositories. It starts up

v1.1 plans
I think I won't do any actual releases until it's mostly feature complete. Then maybe v1.1.alpha1 or v1.1.beta1. So if you want to test it before then, use CVS or the nightly snapshots. I'm planning on keeping v1.1 almost completely compatible with v1.0. There could be some minor configuration file changes, but for most people v1.0's dovecot.conf should work with v1.1. I want to

Status update
I'm leaving soon and I'll be away until sunday. Sorry about not replying to all mails yet, most of them are somewhat tricky and require some time to reply (other than "I don't know"). The new index code for v1.1 seems to be finally working pretty nicely. After 9 hours of running imaptest I haven't gotten a single error yet. I'll leave it running until I'm back.

What to do before launching v1.0?
I’m launching a rails website, the app is written and works, undoubtedly it’ll be an unmitigated disaster when I launch but none the less I thought I’d least attempt to give myself the best chance of success by asking all the gurus here for some advice – pre launch advice if you like. In an ideal world I’d spend days and hours on all of these things and get it absolutely spot on, but as we all

dovecot-stable branch
To confuse Dovecot versioning even more, I've added "dovecot-stable" module into CVS. This is a version of Dovecot before the recent keyword changes but with several bugfixes backported to it. It's thought to be mostly stable. I intend to keep it updated with important bugfixes and with other simple bugfixes. Although I'm not sure if I'll make a large code base upgrade

TE406P seg fault on Stable
I received a TE406P card from Digium yesterday and have done several tests on it and cannot get it working reliably with any Stable release or even CVS v1.0. What are other people that are using the TE406P card using for an Asterisk version? I tried 1.2.0 beta1 and it seemed to function well except for an unrelated issue with the beta release where the manager interface chokes under

Error compiling Wine on Mac OS X 10.4
Hi all, I get this error trying to build Wine on a Mac OS X 10.4.2. I've tried the prebuilt binaries, but couldn't get them to work and figured they're so old, I better try to build my own. I did apply the patches mentioned on the Darwine website. Below is the end of the make results (I've tried both the tools/wineinstaller and manually doing the build process with the same

login: Missing protocol from server name 'imap'
I also tried the 0.99 and hacking login-process.c, with no success. It seems to expect a slash delimited string like 'name/protocol' and it just gets "imap" there, but I didn't figure out where this string comes from or what it ought to be. So I would be grateful if someone could enlighten me. Thanks, Peter --- Some blafa: Feb 17 21:45:44 office dovecot: Dovecot

v3.0.4 fails to compile (passdb/pdb_ldap.c) OpenLDAP 2.2.13 and MIT Kerberos?
I have been trying to put together a SAMBA installation with winbind that will link to an existing ActiveDirectory, to allow UNIX (Solaris 9) hosts to accept logins from people using AD credentials. This has been slow going. Since I am running Solaris 9, Sun took a while to re-enable non-standard PAM/nsswitch.conf entries so winbind would work at all, but this part is now fixed. I think I

Asterisk behind OpenSER - Getting SIP reinvites to work with an ITSP
I'm using Asterisk (1.2.14, RedHat 9) but I've been having trouble with SIP re-invites. I have a DiD from an ITSP and when someone calls in, Asterisk plays a menu recording and transfers the call to the external line the caller selects. Since both sides of the call are external, I want to use re-invite to avoid the rtp packets from going through my server after the call is bridged. I

upgrade from 2.2p1 to 3.Xp1
Hi, at the begining of summer we were planning to upgrade the openssh version up to 3.4, but nowadays we would like to upgrade to 3.7... now we have the same problems we found with the 3.4 version: it seems as 2.2 and 3.X are incompatible versions, or they use incompatible methods to exchange some information that we don't know how to change... we need interoperation during the upgrade
