help -- generating a patch
All, I'm attempting to generate a patch for 3.0.2p1. This patch will modify the configure script (and another file); I would like to do it via the configure.ac file. However, when I run 'autoconf ./configure.ac > ./configure.new', I get an unuseable ./configure.new script; both with and without my patch applied (including from a freshly unpacked tarball). Here is the error:

[PATCH] dash: Fix "pwd -P" breakage due to getcwd(0, 0) usage
The getpwd() function in dash assumed than getcwd(0, 0) will allocate the buffer dynamically using malloc(); however, this glibc extension is not implemented by klibc. Make getpwd() use a temporary buffer and invoke savestr() itself instead of relying on a nonstandard extension. X11 XVideo extension supported?
I was wondering if the XVideo extension is supported or not? In a clean wine setup, I installed DivX 4.01 and The Playa, also installed Windows Media Player 6.4. They can both display DivX 4.01 material with sound. This is simply great :-) However, the performance is not that great. Especially when going fullscreen the cpu is overburdened (slide show). I assume that the XVideo extension is not
