Web Conferencing
Is there a good Web Conferencing add-on or a compatible package for
Asterisk? I know there are web based controls for the audio, but I am
looking for PowerPoint or desktop sharing functionality similar to WebEx.
Anyone using a package they like?

Blindside Web Conferencing
Hello,
We are creating a web-based conferencing application using Asterisk as the
voice conferencing server.
This as an open source project. We are trying to determine if there
is interest of the community and perhaps work together to improve the
application.
Using the web application, you can upload your powerpoint presentation,
manage the participants in the conference thru the web interface

Asterisk conferencing features
Hello!
I'm new in Asterisk and I hope that my trouble is very simple.
We're implementing a Education Project of a e-Learning system (LMS)
that uses conferencing (video and audio) over internet.
The e-Learning system will be on GPL license, and for that, we're
using only free software to implement.
Asterisk is our first choice for video and audio conferencing, and
making tests,

Anyone know what they are going to be announcing?
Any relevance to Asterisk? When are we going to see a decent video
conferencing implementation into Asterisk?

Conferencing without Meetme
I'm currently writing some code to support conferencing in Asterisk without
using the Meetme application. The conference runs in its own thread and every
new inbound or outbound channel that is created is passed to it. This thread
runs the conference loop reading and writing frames to each channel.
I'm writing this as if it were a bridge with more than two channels, and I'm

LCS multiparty conferencing commercial opportunity
Hi this is just a heads up about an opportunity for commercial Asterisk
experts. I don't know if this even possible but don't see why not and it
is way beyond my capabilities so thought I would pass it out to the
list.
I've been looking into Microsoft Live Communications Server over the
past few months for one of my clients, it's the same as ms messenger but

SIP Ad-Hoc Conferencing with Asterisk
Hi,
Does anybody have an idea on how to realise ad-hoc conferencing with
Asterisk ? Although Asterisk MeetMe and maybe a procedure with Call
Holding could somehow come close to ad-hoc conferencing, it doesn't seem to
be the right way to do it. Any experience with ad-hoc conferencing using
SIP in general as well as with Asterisk?
Thanks,
Joerg

one for the "participants" Not the best way to set it up but it works.

Question About Conferencing Capabilities
My company is building a VOIP application, and initially were just using a
barebones OpenSIPS implementation to host one-on-one calls; however, we want
to expand the functionality to conferencing (which, of course, OpenSIPS
doesn't handle) and was looking into Asterisk (the other option being
Freeswitch). I've been poring through the docs, and have even set up a test
server myself, but

Problem with chan_dahdi and conferencing
Hi. I am using asterisk-1.8 and I am having problems getting
conferencing to work properly. I did modprobe on dahdi and did load =>
chan_dahdi.so in /etc/asterisk/modules.conf. Now I do get conferencing,
but meetme says
[Jan 15 11:38:56] WARNING[9214] app_meetme.c: No DAHDI channel available
for conference, conference recording disabled (is chan_dahdi loaded?)
Now chan_dahdi is indeed

Best practise for ISDN Video Conferencing..
Hi All,
I'm about to setup an Asterisk install to take over an old legacy PBX
system. At present, the legacy system has modules in it which provides 4
* data ISDN links to the video conferencing unit (Tandberg 3000 MXP) on
site, these use the ISDN30 (uk) that the normal voice calls go over.
Is it possible to emulate this in asterisk? I've seen zapras but I'm not
sure if that's

Advanced Conferencing optionswithout-of-treemodules?
A couple comments. I'm not a programmer, my C is passable, but
my web development would have to grow by leaps and bounds to be
considered poor.
I pulled the Meetme2 from here:
http://www.areski.net/asterisk-meetme/about.php?s=0
The app needs a minor tweak to compile against 1.0.5. I stumbled
down a false path or two, so the diff shows some lines being
deleted and re-added that are

This is not directly * related, but could be. My company is
using a VoIP conferencing solution that is suffering from
developer neglect.
I've considered trying to leverage *, and our internal developers
can build the management interfaces. If that plan is not accepted
by management, I need to find a commercial solution that works.
