[PATCH AUTOSEL 5.5 121/121] PCI: Use ioremap(), not phys_to_virt() for platform ROM
From: Mikel Rychliski <mikel at mikelr.com> [ Upstream commit 72e0ef0e5f067fd991f702f0b2635d911d0cf208 ] On some EFI systems, the video BIOS is provided by the EFI firmware. The boot stub code stores the physical address of the ROM image in pdev->rom. Currently we attempt to access this pointer using phys_to_virt(), which doesn't work with CONFIG_HIGHMEM. [PATCH RESEND v2 2/2] PCI: Use ioremap(), not phys_to_virt() for platform ROM
On some EFI systems, the video BIOS is provided by the EFI firmware. The boot stub code stores the physical address of the ROM image in pdev->rom. Currently we attempt to access this pointer using phys_to_virt(), which doesn't work with CONFIG_HIGHMEM. On these systems, attempting to load the radeon module on a x86_32 kernel can result in the following: BUG: unable to handle page

[PATCH 0/5] Add the pci_get_base_class() helper and use it
From: Sui Jingfeng <suijingfeng at loongson.cn> There is no function that can be used to get all PCI(e) devices in a system by matching against its the PCI base class code only, while keep the sub-class code and the programming interface ignored. Therefore, add the pci_get_base_class() function to suit the need. For example, if an application want to process all PCI(e) display devices in a

[PATCH RESEND v2 2/2] PCI: Use ioremap(), not phys_to_virt() for platform ROM
Hi Christoph, Thanks for your comments. I'm also replying here to your comments on the previous series. Some machines don't expose the video BIOS in the PCI BAR and instead only make it available via EFI boot

[PATCH] drm/nouveau/bios: fix incorrect kfree in platform_init
Hi, I think there has a incorrect kfree in pcirom_init function. In pcirom_init function priv porinter could be free only when priv != null and priv->rom is null. [PATCH 4/7] drm: Move the legacy kms disable_all helper to crtc helpers
It's not a core function, and the matching atomic functions are also not in the core. Plus the suspend/resume helper is also already there. Needs a tiny bit of open-coding, but less midlayer beats that I think. [PATCH v1 0/4] PCI/VGA: Improve the default VGA device selection
From: Sui Jingfeng <suijingfeng at loongson.cn> Currently, the default VGA device selection is not perfect. Potential problems are: 1) This function is a no-op on non-x86 architectures. 2) It does not take the PCI Bar may get relocated into consideration. 3) It is not effective for the PCI device without a dedicated VRAM Bar. 4) It is device-agnostic, thus it has to waste the effort to

Enable vblank_disable_immediate on more drivers.
This patch series sets dev->vblank_disable_immediate = true on radeon/amdgpu-kms, nouveau-kms for nv50+, and vc4 for the real kms driver (as opposed to dispmanx firmware backed kms). All the drivers should be ready in theory, given their implementation, for fast vblank disable/enable. In practice, i have performed timing tests with my measurement equipment for all those drivers with the
