desktop hanging
Not sure if this is the correct forum for this question / issue so
please feel free to redirect me to an appropriate list.
My driver and graphics card information is below. This configuration has
been working great (much better than the nvidia proprietary driver)
until I upgraded from kernel 5.0 to 5.3. The desktop keeps hanging every
few minutes (the mouse usually keeps working but windows,

[PATCH v3] drm/nouveau/fb/nv50: set DMA mask before mapping scratch page
The 100c08 scratch page is mapped using dma_map_page() before the TTM
layer has had a chance to set the DMA mask. This means we are still
running with the default of 32 when this code executes, and this causes
problems for platforms with no memory below 4 GB (such as AMD Seattle)
So move the dma_map_page() to the .init hook, and set the streaming DMA
mask based on the MMU subdev parameters before

CIFS VFS: in dmesg when Linux accesses eComStation's (OS/2) FAT filesystem shares
Items in dmesg when FAT share's are accessed from web browser:
CIFS VFS: bogus file nlink value 0
When accessed from FC/L (OFM (orthodox filemanager)):
CIFS VFS: illegal date, month 0 day: 0
When the share is initially mounted:
CIFS: Attempting to mount //hostname/E
Use of the less secure dialect vers=1.0 is not recommended unless required for
access to very old servers
CIFS VFS: Send error

What are the restrictions around loading indirect constbuf values
Hello,
We recently tracked down a bug on Tesla GPUs (i.e. G80-GT218) whereby
it appears that instructions like
00000028: b5000409 08000780 add rn f32 $r2 $r2 neg c0[$a1]
00000040: b500060d 08004780 add rn f32 $r3 $r3 neg c0[$a1+0x4]
or with nvdisasm:
.headerflags @"EF_CUDA_SM12 EF_CUDA_PTX_SM(EF_CUDA_SM12)"

Question on CentoS 7.4 on nvidia
I installed the elrepo kmod-nvidia and also the nvidia-detect and modules
(see below).
I had X working with the 3.10 from Centos - but video was freezing. SO I
thought I would try the elrepo kernel. I installed that and X does not come
up?
How do I re-make the nvidia module for 4.14.5 kernel? I want to make sure
the kmod kernel did it. I 'm thinking it did not.

[PATCH] drm/nouveau/kms/nv50-: Don't allow inheritance of headless iors
Turns out we made a silly mistake when coming up with OR inheritance on
nouveau. On pre-DCB 4.1, iors are statically routed to output paths via the
DCB. On later generations iors are only routed to an output path if they're
actually being used. Unfortunately, it appears with NVIF_OUTP_INHERIT_V0 we
make the mistake of assuming the later is true on all generations, which is
currently leading us
