[PATCH 2/2] drm/connector: Allow max possible encoders to attach to a connector
From: Dhinakaran Pandiyan <dhinakaran.pandiyan at intel.com> Currently we restrict the number of encoders that can be linked to a connector to 3, increase it to match the maximum number of encoders that can be initialized(32). To more effiently do that lets switch from an array of encoder ids to bitmask. v2: Fixing missed return on amdgpu_dm_connector_to_encoder() Suggested-by: Ville

[PATCH v2 0/9] drm: Third attempt at fixing the fb-helper .best_encoder() mess
From: Ville Syrjälä <ville.syrjala at linux.intel.com> Changes from the previous version mainly involve Danoie's suggestion of hiding the drm_encoder_find() in the iterator macro. I also polished the msm and tilcdc cases a bit more with another small helper. Cc: Alex Deucher <alexander.deucher at amd.com> Cc: amd-gfx at lists.freedesktop.org Cc: Ben Skeggs <bskeggs at

[PATCH v2 23/27] drm/amdgpu: Iterate through DRM connectors correctly
Currently, every single piece of code in amdgpu that loops through connectors does it incorrectly and doesn't use the proper list iteration helpers, drm_connector_list_iter_begin() and drm_connector_list_iter_end(). Yeesh. So, do that. Cc: Juston Li <juston.li at intel.com> Cc: Imre Deak <imre.deak at intel.com> Cc: Ville Syrjälä <ville.syrjala at linux.intel.com> Cc: Harry

From: Ville Syrjälä <ville.syrjala at linux.intel.com> Use drm_connector_for_each_possible_encoder() for iterating connector->encoder_ids[]. [PATCH] drm/nouveau: Fix nouveau_connector_ddc_detect()
It looks like that when we moved over to using drm_connector_for_each_possible_encoder() in nouveau, that one rather important part of this function got dropped by accident: /* Right v here */ for (i = 0; nv_encoder = NULL, i < DRM_CONNECTOR_MAX_ENCODER; i++) { int id = connector->encoder_ids[i]; if (id == 0) break; Since it's rather difficult to notice: the

[PATCH 5/5] drm/amdgpu: Fix deadlock on runtime suspend
amdgpu's ->runtime_suspend hook calls drm_kms_helper_poll_disable(), which waits for the output poll worker to finish if it's running. The output poll worker meanwhile calls pm_runtime_get_sync() in amdgpu's ->detect hooks, which waits for the ongoing suspend to finish, causing a deadlock. Fix by not acquiring a runtime PM ref if the ->detect hooks are called in the output

[PATCH 2/6] drm: Add drm_simple_encoder_{init,create}()
The simple-encoder helpers initialize an encoder with an empty implementation. This covers the requirements of most of the existing DRM drivers. A call to drm_simple_encoder_create() allocates and initializes an encoder instance, a call to drm_simple_encoder_init() initializes a pre-allocated instance. [PATCH v2 12/14] drm: radeon: remove dead code and pointless local lut storage
The redundant fb helpers .load_lut, .gamma_set and .gamma_get are no longer used. Remove the dead code and hook up the crtc .gamma_set to use the crtc gamma_store directly instead of duplicating that info locally.
