[PATCH 07/13] mm: remove the page_shift member from struct hmm_range
All users pass PAGE_SIZE here, and if we wanted to support single
entries for huge pages we should really just add a HMM_FAULT_HUGEPAGE
flag instead that uses the huge page size instead of having the
caller calculate that size once, just for the hmm code to verify it.

[PATCH hmm 2/5] mm/hmm: make hmm_range_fault return 0 or -1
From: Jason Gunthorpe <jgg at mellanox.com>
hmm_vma_walk->last is supposed to be updated after every write to the
pfns, so that it can be returned by hmm_range_fault(). However, this is
not done consistently. Fortunately nothing checks the return code of
hmm_range_fault() for anything other than error.
More importantly last must be set before returning -EBUSY as it is used to

[PATCH v2] nouveau/hmm: map pages after migration
When memory is migrated to the GPU, it is likely to be accessed by GPU
code soon afterwards. Instead of waiting for a GPU fault, map the
migrated memory into the GPU page tables with the same access permissions
as the source CPU page table entries. This preserves copy on write
semantics.

[PATCH hmm 5/5] mm/hmm: remove the customizable pfn format from hmm_range_fault
From: Jason Gunthorpe <jgg at mellanox.com>
Presumably the intent here was that hmm_range_fault() could put the data
into some HW specific format and thus avoid some work. However, nothing
actually does that, and it isn't clear how anything actually could do that
as hmm_range_fault() provides CPU addresses which must be DMA mapped.
Perhaps there is some special HW that does not need

rc3 strange behavior
Hello *,
I've rc3 on Debian Lenny compiled from source.
$ wine --version
wine-1.0-rc3
However I typoed that command by mistake:
$ wine -version
and wine went looking for -version.exe. The strange behavior is the output.
Is the folloing normal?
$ wine -version
wine: Unhandled page fault on write access to 0x00452000 at address
0x7efa04f4 (thread 0019), starting debugger...

[PATCH v4 4/6] nouveau/svm: use the new migration invalidation
Use the new MMU_NOTIFY_MIGRATE event to skip GPU MMU invalidations of
device private memory and handle the invalidation in the driver as part
of migrating device private memory.

static analysis tool cppcheck meets the btrfs code - four issues
Hello there,
I just ran the sourceforge tool cppcheck over the source code of the
new Linux kernel 2.6.32.4
It said
1.
[./btrfs/free-space-cache.c:600]: (style) Redundant condition. It is safe to deallocate a NULL pointer
The source code is
if (info->bitmap)
kfree(info->bitmap);
I agree with cppcheck. Suggest delete the if test.

RC3 Changes needed for MacOS
It looks like the Mac .exp files were not updated for RC3.
The following diff corrects that problem. The CodeWarrior
project files also have not been updated. They are in 5.3
format which is quite old. Would anybody object if I
submitted updates to them in CodeWarrior Pro 6 format?
That's the oldest version I have readily available.
If someone else has 5.3 and wants to do it, you need to

version 2.3.3, file log.c bug report
Hello there,
I just ran the static analysis checker "cppcheck" over the source code
of icecast version 2.3.3
Amongst many other things, it said
[log.c:301]: (warning) Logical conjunction always evaluates to false: log_id < 0 && log_id>= 25.
Source code is
??? if (log_id < 0 && log_id>= LOG_MAXLOGS)
