kde 4.3 beta 2, compiz 8.2 - panel pager doesn't work until plasma crash and restart
Listmates, Woking with compiz 8.2 on kde 4.3 beta 2 on Archlinux, the plasma "kicker" pager widget does not work correctly after compiz 8.2 is started. Before compiz is started you see the 4 small desktop representations stacked 2x2. After you start compiz, the panel only shows a single large pane 'Desktop 1' no matter what desktop you are on. The strange part is that

Wayland Display Support in R Plot
Hello, I'm interested in understanding the current state of Wayland display support in R plot, and I was wondering if any progress or discussions have taken place regarding this matter. As Wayland continues to gain popularity as a display protocol on modern Linux systems, having Wayland support for R's plotting capabilities would be a significant enhancement. Could anyone provide

Need help starting Plasma Pong
Alright, so I have no issues getting Plasma Pong started...as long as I run it through the command line. ie: Code: wine "C:\Plasma Pong\Plasma Pong.exe"[quote] That example works fine...as long as it's done in a terminal. However, the game seems to not like being ran without a terminal. (I can't just click on the .exe file to run it). I'm wondering if there's a way

Move KDE Plasma Integration to KDE Git Infrastructure
Hi Compiz developers, as you might know KDE will transition to git somewhen next week. This gives some new possibilities for the Compiz community, too. Let me first describe the current situation and the problems with it: Compiz and KDE releases are out of sync. We are currently more and more integrating features from the desktop shell into the window manager. In difference to other desktop

Fedora 10 KDE plasma font rendering issue
Hello. I've got a new workstation running Fedora 10 linux and I use the KDE 4.2 desktop which uses some kind of new desktop environment called 'plasma'. If I start up R and generate a plot (for example: hist(rnorm(10000, mean=0, sd=1), breaks=100) ). The plot appears but all text (the x/y axes, title, etc..) is replaced by a square box. No font is rendered at all. Has anyone else
