Google's Chrome Team might Blacklist Nouveau on Chromium
Well, I agree with them. Nouveau is extremely unstable on my MacBook Pro with Nvidia 320M, freezing all the time and draining a lot of battery. Performance wise is not too bad tho. There's plenty of reported bugs already around the web if someone wants to investigate it. nouveau locking up on Debian Jessie.
Hi, Unfortunately I'm not really comfortable editing code, I'm using the current X11 and nouveau from Debian Jessie repos. I've noticed that this begun to happen on Debian Jessie, Debian Wheezy (The current stable) don't have this problem. https://packages.debian.org/wheezy/xserver-xorg-video-nouveau https://packages.debian.org/jessie/xserver-xorg-video-nouveau If you tell me

How Functional is Wine's IE supposed to be?
I haven't said much about this, but Wine's Internet Explorer has never really worked as web browser. I understand that the main purpose of Wine's Internet Explorer isn't to be a web browser, but to make Windows programs that require MS IE work. That said, one of the Wine 1.4 release criteria is "Builtin iexplore, Gecko". So I figured I should ask, "How functional

Chromium - Application-level nouveau blacklist
It looks like as of Chromium 71, nouveau is completely blacklisted. I don't really see a way back from this, since they don't cite any easily reproducible issues, except that some people had some issues with indeterminate hardware and indeterminate versions of mesa. In the bug that triggered this (https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=876523), where I might have slightly

SAMBA 4 acting as Domain Server- Is Exchange 2010 capable of being installed?
Hello All, SAMBA 4 is a great advancement, and I have it up and running in a lab environment authenticating Cisco UCM LDAP queries... I am attempting to install an Exchange 2010 deployment for integrated UM testing. As I attempted to extend the schema of the SAMBA 4 AD (setup /ps), the setup program came back and reported the following: "The Domain Controller 'smb4.homelab.int' is

nouveau locking up on Debian Jessie.
Hi Ladies and Gentlemans. I'd like to report a possible bug and ask for help in solving it. I have a Mid 2010 Macbook Pro running Debian Jessie. The bug seems to happen at random, but mainly when using a 3D application with other apps running, such as Chromium (Chrome) and Iceweasel (Firefox). It happens when watching videos with VLC and mplayer2. I hope someone will manage to help. Thanks.

Latest chromium i686 - Illegal Instruction
Hi, I recently upgraded chromium on a 32-bit CentOS 6.4 system yesterday to version to chromium-28.0.1500.95-213514.i686. I then ran the chrome_pepperflash_copy.sh script, but my copy of the script was before it was modified to check the architecture so it downloaded the 64 bit chrome rpm and installed that version of pepper. I tried to run chromium but was greeted with "Illegal
