nouveau freezing desktop - Ubuntu 24.04 - NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M
Hello,
I recently installed Ubuntu 24.04 on a MacBook Pro (Mid-2010) running a
NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M adapter.
Unfortunately the computer is constantly freezing.
If I pass "nomodeset" to grub, the nouveau driver is not used and the
computer does not freeze so it seems to be related to the nouveau driver.
I am wanting to know if there are any parameters I can pass to nouveau to

I am trying to it a particular nonlinear model common in Soil Science to
moisture release data from soil. I have written the function as shown
below according to the logist example in Ch8 of Pinheiro & Bates. I am
getting the following error (R version 2.1.1)
*Error in qr(attr(rhs, "gradient")) : NA/NaN/Inf in foreign function
call (arg 1)*
Below is the function and data.

Feature request: copy attributes in gzcon
The `gzcon` function both modifies and copies a connection object:
# compressed text
con1 <- url("http://www.stats.ox.ac.uk/pub/datasets/csb/ch12.dat.gz")
con2 <- gzcon(con1)
# almost indistinguishable
con1==con2
identical(summary(con2), summary(con1))
# both support gzip
readLines(con1, n = 3)
readLines(con2, n = 3)
# opening one opens both

LLVM Kaleidoscope : Compiling to Object Code - Segmentation Fault
Hi all :)
I'm new to llvm!
I'm going through the kaleidoscope : compiling llvm IR to object code
tutorial, code in the listings breaks and causes a segmentation fault.
After some investigation through gdb, probably this constructor call,
causing the segfault.

LLVM Kaleidoscope : Compiling to Object Code - Segmentation Fault
Hi David!
Thanks for reaching out, the codegen part of the tutorial is fine, but
when I try to generate the object code file, it throws segfault. Also
please note that I'm using release build of llvm, actually I don't know
whether that is the root cause or not.
I also run through valgrind, it seems like a invalid read from stack.
