Centos OS Crash Recovery, Inquiry.
Actually, I am not sure if we have a backup, because honestly, I am not that very much familiar with Centos. We use it for our mail sever for zimbra and other web servers but after setting it up, as long it is working just fine we don't do any other thing. Does it have an automatic backup system? And if it does, how can we use it to restore it back? Thanks. Regards, CHRIS ----- Original

Centos OS Crash Recovery, Inquiry.
There is software out there which will rebuild. It is advanced level, so I would concur with the others to take it to a professional data recovery service. Most importantly at this moment is to remove the hard drive, or at least shut down the server to minimize the read/write to the disk. The more writes done the less likely recovery will be possible. Also, know whether you just want to

Squirrelmail Problem on CentOS 4.4
Recently, some of my accounts cannot read any email in the INBOX within Squirrelmail. The error.... The server couldn't find the message you requested. Most probably your message list was out of date and the message has been moved away or deleted (perhaps by another program accessing the same mailbox). The messages are not being moved out. In fact, I can delete one of those messages

sshd can't change expired password on Sol8 with Openssh3.0p1 + PAM
The reason I ask about the patches is because I think the problem you're seeing might actually be a bug in pam_unix.so.1 - it's something to try at least. We don't use password aging and we don't use the "passwd" command to change passwords, so we haven't run into this at our site even though we probably don't have pam_unix.so patched up. Also, the passwd

Yum is now trying to update our installation with the latest offical Centos release but there does not seem to be a corresponding squirrelmail-i18n rpm available in any of the repositories which is

Received Dates/Squirrelmail
I am trying to figure out an issue I have with the e-mails in my inbox showing up in Squirrelmail. I sometimes get (more often than I care for it to happen) e-mails which show up as new either many hours ago or days ago. I have one particular e-mail that in Squirrelmail is showing a data of Tue, 8:23PM. The received header of that e-mail shows: Received: from murphy.debian.org
