[PATCH 1/2] nouveau/bl: Assign different names to interfaces
Currently, every backlight interface created by Nouveau uses the same name, nv_backlight. This leads to a sysfs warning as it tries to create an already existing folder. This patch adds a incremented number to the name, but keeps the initial name as nv_backlight, to avoid possibly breaking userspace; the second interface will be named nv_backlight1, and so on. [PATCH 0/2] drm/nouveau: Fix panic on nouveau unload.
If have a couple patches I found while looking at a panic I was seeing while unloading the nouveau module. Unloading the nouveau module on my optimus notebook machine causes the system to panic. This started occuring when moving from 4.4 to 4.14. These patches make it such that the system does not panic when unloading the module. 4.14 also requires commit 34112bf4935d ("drm/nouveau/fbcon:

[PATCH] drm/nouveau/bl: Fix oops on driver unbind
Unbinding nouveau on a dual GPU MacBook Pro oopses because we iterate over the bl_connectors list in nouveau_backlight_exit() but skipped initializing it in nouveau_backlight_init(). Stacktrace for posterity: BUG: unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at 0000000000000010 IP: nouveau_backlight_exit+0x2b/0x70 [nouveau] nouveau_display_destroy+0x29/0x80 [nouveau]

[PATCH 1/5] drm/nouveau: Check backlight IDs are >= 0, not > 0
Patches 1-5 are Reviewed-by: Karol Herbst <kherbst at redhat.com> I think it might be worth to test those patches on a system without any backlight devices just to verify we don't break things, but the code looked good already, so maybe we don't really need to test. [PATCH v2 0/2] drm/nouveau: Fix connector memory corruption issues
This fixes some nasty issues I found in nouveau that were being caused looping through connectors using racy legacy methods, along with some caused by making incorrect assumptions about the drm_connector structs in nouveau's connector list. Most of these memory corruption issues could be reproduced by using an MST hub with nouveau. Next version of
