[PATCH v2 0/2] Add fine-grain temperature reporting
Hi folks, This series adjusts the temp_get() interface in the thermal functions to report milli-degrees, and additionally alters the way errors are reported. As I went through all the users and implementations I realized that Pascal's temp_get() implementation didn't include turning negative temperatures to 0 like other implementations, so I separated error reporting from the temperature

CPU temperature in an PowerEdge 860, LM85 chip
Dear Srs, I'm trying to monitor CPU temperatures in a PowerEdge 860 server, running CentOS 5.1 with 2.6.18-53.1.6.el5 kernel, using lm-sensors v2.10.0. Running "sensors-detect" I get: ====================================================================== (..) We can start with probing for (PCI) I2C or SMBus adapters. You do not need any special privileges for this. Do you want

GPU Temperature?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi there, I just wondered if there is an open-source way of getting information about the temperatures provided by the internal sensors. I've read that nvclock is providing such information but only if the binary driver is installed and used. When I run 'sensors-detect' is see three adapters provided through nouveau: ... Next adapter:

SMP motherboard and temperature monitoring with /dev/io
Hello, I have an SMP motherboard (Gigabyte GA-7DPXDW+) and I'm trying to monitor the temperature of the processor. The chipset for I/O control is Winbond W83627HF. When using any program for monitoring temperatures, I only get the temperature reading for the second processor. How do I get readings for both processors or only the first one ? TIA

extracting monthly temperature data
I know that R is very advanced when it comes to DateTime handling. I am not quite as advanced as R however. I just downloaded a stupendously ugly dataset of hourly air temperature from 1985 to 2003. It has a great many NAs. I want to extract mean, median, max, and min monthly values. So far I have read it in as object. Date and Time are factors and Temp is an int. > summary(temp.dat)

testing for temperature differences between years and sites?
Hello! I have a dataset with monthly temperatures for 4 different years and I would like to test if they are significantly different between the years. As I collected the data for different sites I wondered if there were some possibility to perform the calculation at once or if I have to repeat it for each site. I tried like this: Model_Temp <- lmer(Temp ~Year +

Re: [nut-Patches][303751] Checking UPS Temperature
One disadvantage of handling it through a script is that is will not be done by default. Most users probably don't know about the problem of burning batteries, as it is not very common. A potential problem with Eric Wilde's patch is that it is not general enough; some UPS models have an boolean OVERHEAT flag although they don't report the actual temperature. So the UPSOVERTEMP

Nvidia says I have a 8200, but lspci says a GeForce 9200M G
Hello all, I'm debugging a card that the Nvidia blob recognizes as an 8200 but lspci says is a GeForce 9200M G. ?My original bug report is in launchpad.(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-nouveau/+bug/557895), but I have been trying to debug further by using the nightly builds. It still requires the noaccel flag to be set to work. I was wondering if there is anyway
