[PATCH 0/2] drm/nouveau: Fix connector memory corruption issues
This fixes some nasty issues I found in nouveau that were being caused looping through connectors using racy legacy methods, along with some caused by making incorrect assumptions about the drm_connector structs in nouveau's connector list. Most of these memory corruption issues could be reproduced by using an MST hub with nouveau. Cc: Karol Herbst <karolherbst at gmail.com> Cc: stable

[PATCH v2] drm/nouveau: don't attempt to schedule hpd_work on headless cards
If the card doesn't have display hardware, hpd_work and hpd_lock are left uninitialized which causes BUG when attempting to schedule hpd_work on runtime PM resume. Fix it by adding headless flag to DRM and skip any hpd if it's set. Fixes: ae1aadb1eb8d ("nouveau: don't fail driver load if no display hw present.") [PATCH 2/2] drm/nouveau: Prevent redundant connector probes from ACPI
On the Lenovo P50 I've been working on, ACPI notifications for hotplugs always seem happen even while the GPU has it's hotplugs enabled. This means that we're uselessly scheduling two connector probes every time we get a hotplug. Since we can't unregister the acpi handler without causing userspace to start getting mysterious keypresses from the ACPI_VIDEO_REPROBE events that are

[PATCH v6 0/5] Fix connector probing deadlocks from RPM bugs
Latest version of https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/series/46815/ with some significant improvements: - I finally figured out a clean way to do this entirely with runtime PM helpers, no avoiding grabbing refs required! - Since this new method removes the need for a lot of the other changes I made (although we probably still want those changes, but not for fixing these deadlocks)

[PATCH AUTOSEL 5.4 143/350] drm/nouveau: Resume hotplug interrupts earlier
From: Lyude Paul <lyude at redhat.com> [ Upstream commit ac0de16a38a9ec7026ca96132e3883c564497068 ] Currently, we enable hotplug detection only after we re-enable the display. However, this is too late if we're planning on sending sideband messages during the resume process - which we'll need to do in order to reprobe the topology on resume. So, enable hotplug events before

[PATCH v5 00/13] Fix connector probing deadlocks from RPM bugs
This is the latest version of https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/series/46815/ I moved everything out of fb_helper and back into nouveau, because it seems that other drivers actually do have this handled already as far as I can tell. [RFC v2 00/20] drm/dp, i915, nouveau: Cleanup nouveau HPD and add DP features from i915
To start off: this patch series is less work to review then it looks - most (but not all) of the nouveau related work has already been reviewed elsewhere. Most of the reason I'm asking for an RFC here is because this code pulls a lot of code out of i915 and into shared DP helpers. Anyway-nouveau's HPD related code has been collecting dust for a while. Other then the occasional runtime PM

[PATCH v4 0/8] Fix connector probing deadlocks from RPM bugs
This is the latest version of https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/series/46815/ With a bunch of fixes to the new fb_helper to prevent it from breaking module loading/unloading with nouveau. [PATCH 0/9] drm/nouveau/kms: A bunch of runtime_pm fixes
While working on refactoring how we handle connector hotplugging/probing + a bunch of misc DP stuff, I found a bunch of runtime_pm errors that were mostly introduced by me at one point. Oops. A lot of these aren't triggered consistently on a lot of systems, so it's not terribly surprising these got swept under the rug. Lyude Paul (9): drm/nouveau/kms: Handle -EINPROGRESS in

[PATCH v2 0/8] drm: make leftover drivers call drm_atomic_helper_shutdown() at the right times
This patch series is the leftovers of a patch series sent in September 2023 [1] in an attempt to get some of the patches landed finally. This patch series originally came about after a _long_ discussion between me and Maxime Ripard in response to a different patch I sent out [2]. As part of that discussion, we realized that it would be good if DRM drivers consistently called

[RFT PATCH v2 00/12] drm: call drm_atomic_helper_shutdown() at the right times
This patch series came about after a _long_ discussion between me and Maxime Ripard in response to a different patch I sent out [1]. As part of that discussion, we realized that it would be good if DRM drivers consistently called drm_atomic_helper_shutdown() properly at shutdown and driver remove time as it's documented that they should do. The eventual goal of this would be to enable removing
