[PATCH v2 0/3] drm/nouveau: Fix runtime PM leaks
This is the latest version of https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/series/45862/ . One new patch has been added that also addresses some additional issues I found with pmops_runtime_idle that would stop nouveau from suspending the GPU when running under X. Additionally, "drm/nouveau: Fix runtime PM leak in nv50_disp_atomic_commit()" has had it's CC to stable removed. Lyude Paul (3):

[PATCH v2 2/3] drm/nouveau: Fix runtime PM leak in nv50_disp_atomic_commit()
A CRTC being enabled doesn't mean it's on! It doesn't even necessarily mean it's being used. This fixes runtime PM leaks on the P50 I've got next to me. [PATCH 1/2] drm/nouveau: Fix runtime PM leak in drm_open()
Noticed this as I was skimming through, if we fail to allocate memory for cli we'll end up returning without dropping the runtime PM ref we got. Additionally, we'll even return the wrong return code! (ret most likely will == 0 here, we want -ENOMEM). Signed-off-by: Lyude Paul <lyude at redhat.com> Cc: stable at vger.kernel.org --- drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/nouveau_drm.c | 6 ++++-- 1

[PATCH 0/2] drm/nouveau: Add support for dp_mst_info in debugfs
This hooks up the DRM helpers for dumping information on the current status of each MST topology from nouveau's perspective to debugfs files, similar to what i915 does (albeit, i915 labels their debugfs node for this as i915_dp_mst_info). [PATCH] drm/noveau: fix reference count leak in nv50_disp_atomic_commit
nv50_disp_atomic_commit() calls calls pm_runtime_get_sync and in turn increments the reference count. In case of failure, decrement the ref count before returning the error. [PATCH 0/9] Fix runtime pm ref leaks
In preparation for runtime pm on muxed dual GPU laptops, I've fixed all runtime pm ref leaks I could find in nouveau, radeon and amdgpu. To ease reviewing, I've pushed this series to GitHub: https://github.com/l1k/linux/commits/drm_runpm_fixes_v1 @Alex Deucher: I do not have an AMD GPU so couldn't test this beyond verifying that it compiles. Please double-check the patches and test

[PATCH 1/2] drm/nouveau/dispnv04: Grab/put runtime PM refs on DPMS on/off
The code claims to grab a runtime PM ref when at least one CRTC is active, but that's not actually the case as we grab a runtime PM ref whenever a CRTC is enabled regardless of it's DPMS state. Meaning that we can end up keeping the GPU awake when there are no screens enabled, something we don't really want to do. Note that we fixed this same issue for nv50 a while ago in: commit

[PATCH] drm/nouveau: Grab runtime PM ref in nv50_mstc_detect()
While we currently grab a runtime PM ref in nouveau's normal connector detection code, we apparently don't do this for MST. This means if we're in a scenario where the GPU is suspended and userspace attempts to do a connector probe on an MSTC connector, the probe will fail entirely due to the DP aux channel and GPU not being woken up: [ 316.633489] nouveau 0000:01:00.0: i2c: aux

[PATCH] drm/nouveau/dispnv50: fix runtime pm imbalance on error
pm_runtime_get_sync() increments the runtime PM usage counter even the call returns an error code. Thus a pairing decrement is needed on the error handling path to keep the counter balanced.
