[PATCH v2] drm/nouveau/nvif: remove const attribute from nvif_mclass
Similar to commit 0bf8bf50eddc ("module: Remove const attribute from alias for MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE") Fixes many -Wduplicate-decl-specifier warnings due to the combination of const typeof() of already const variables. Signed-off-by: Nick Desaulniers <ndesaulniers at google.com> --- Changes since v1: added additional space after statements.

OOP with Encapsulated Class Definitions
Hi all, I'm seeking feedback (good, bad or indifferent) in regards to developing (further) a new class system for R, that uses encapsulated class definitions (i.e. the method definitions are literally inside the body of the class definition). A working (however very rough and poorly tested) system is available in my R package "oosp" with documentation in the vignette

[libdrm 05/13] nouveau: add interfaces to query information about supported classes
From: Ben Skeggs <bskeggs at redhat.com> This will expose functionality supported by newer kernel interfaces. Current userspace uses the chipset to determine which classes are likely exposed, which generally works pretty well, but isn't as flexible as it could be. Unfortunately, the G98:GF100 video code in Mesa is still relying on the kernel exposing incorrect vdec classes on some

[LLVMdev] Question regarding getElementPtr/Addressing modes in backend
Hi Steve, Thanks for the tip regarding MIOperandInfo, I didn't think of that part of the tablegen description. Sadly, I did actually mean: r1 = *(i0 += m0). So increment i0 by m0. Read memory the memory location "pointed" to by i0. Store in r1. Sadly I am not too familiar with compiler terminology, so I don't know if there is a proper term for such a load. On Thu, Oct 23,

[PATCH 0/3] drm/nouveau: extend the lifetime of nouveau_drm
Hi folks, Currently, when the device is removed (or the driver is unbound) the nouveau_drm structure de-allocated. However, it's still accessible from and used by some DRM layer callbacks. For example, file handles can be closed after the device has been removed (physically or otherwise). This series converts the Nouveau device structure to be allocated and de-allocated with the

[PATCH 1/2] drm/nouveau: don't fini scheduler if not initialized
nouveau_abi16_ioctl_channel_alloc() and nouveau_cli_init() simply call their corresponding *_fini() counterpart. This can lead to nouveau_sched_fini() being called without struct nouveau_sched ever being initialized in the first place. Instead of embedding struct nouveau_sched into struct nouveau_cli and struct nouveau_chan_abi16, allocate struct nouveau_sched separately, such that we can check

[LLVMdev] Question regarding getElementPtr/Addressing modes in backend
Hi, I am writing a backend and having issues with properly lowering the result of getElementPtr ( specifically the add node that it generates). If we take this IR: %struct.rectangle = type { i24, i24 } ; Function Attrs: nounwind readonly define i24 @area(%struct.rectangle* nocapture readonly %r) #0 { entry: %width = getelementptr inbounds %struct.rectangle* %r, i16 0, i32 0 %0 = load i24*

Breakage with nvif?
Hi Ben, Karol and Tom are seeing this on init with a nvif-enabled kernel + libdrm. What are we doing wrong? I think that route == NVIF_IOCTL_V0_ROUTE_NVIF (== 0), while owner is apparently 1, whatever that is.
