X.Org GSoC 2019 - Student Application Period
I'm happy to announce that the X.Org Foundation has been chosen to participate in this year's GSoC program! Students have from now until April 9th to submit their proposals. Students will be looking at https://www.x.org/wiki/SummerOfCodeIdeas/ and https://www.x.org/wiki/ToDo/ for ideas. Please take a moment to review those lists to see: - are these valid ideas? - should items be

[Piglit] X.Org GSoC 2019 - Student Application Period
[-everyone except nouveau] Just looked over the projects... they all seem valid, but are there people who could realistically mentor a GSoC student for these? IMHO unless mentors can be identified, these should all be archived. Cheers, -ilia On Tue, Mar 26, 2019 at 10:32 AM Trevor Woerner <twoerner at gmail.com> wrote: > > I'm happy to announce that the X.Org Foundation has

State of Video Decoding for Maxwell cards
Well, you are most likely using the CPU for decoding here. Currently nobody is working on that, because this is quite a big and challenging project. We have an open project idea regarding this for EVoC and GSoC though: "Maxwell Accelerated Video Decoding" https://www.x.org/wiki/SummerOfCodeIdeas/ On Thu, Nov 30, 2017 at 1:18 PM, Christoph Böhmwalder <christoph at boehmwalder.at>

Regarding X.Org Endless Vacation of Code (EVoC)-Ojus Chugh
Hello Everyone, Greetings! I hope you are doing well. I am Ojus, a final-year IT student. Recently, I discovered EVoC as an open-source enthusiast, and I'm deeply interested in participating in this program. However, I am new to this and am looking for a mentor to guide me through EVoC for a project related to nouveau. I would appreciate any ideas or projects for this program, as I am open

Help wanted! - Icecast is applying for Google Summer of Code through Xiph.org
Hi everyone, We've decided to apply for this year's Google Summer of Code. Xiph.org has taken part before, so we hope to get at least one or two, maybe even 3 students. If we get chosen we need project ideas and mentors though. We've already started to collect some ideas that would hopefully be sized for students here: https://wiki.xiph.org/Summer_of_Code_2015 That page also lists

Google Summer Of Code
So far the list of "mentor" organizations are some of the larger players in the open source community, but surely among the Asterisk community we could come up with a convincing proposal for Google to allow some faction of the community to "mentor" some student projects? The Gnome project lists fixes to the mail client and desktop artwork as potential projects -- so surely we

Now it's a good time to discuss would-be projects on the relevant mailing lists. You can find

R-Google interface: Google summer of code
I use R for data management and ongoing data analysis for amongst other things, a multi-center medical research project. I have found Google spreadsheets to be a fantastic way for all collaborators to be on the same page. Furthermore, Google Forms allows one to capture data from respondents and effortlessly write it to a google spreadsheet. Currently, one has to manually download the spreadsheet

Google Summer of Code ideas...
It's time again to apply to be a mentoring organization for Google Summer of Code. This means we need to refresh the list of suggested projects at: http://syslinux.zytor.com/wiki/index.php/Google_Summer_of_Code_Ideas I'm running even more ragged than usual, so any help in this would be appreciated. I'd also like to know who'd be willing to mentor this year. -hpa -- H. Peter
