Trouble with X and vnc-4.0-8.1.i386 on Centos 4.4
I have recently migrated from an old, RedHat Linux 9 - based system (Aurox
9.2) to Centos 4.4.
I am having trouble with vnc causing X unusable until reboot.
By unusable I mean that X screen is either blank or blinking and moving, which
is not cured by X restart until reboot.
My system is:
Compaq EVO D510 SFF
CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 1.80GHz
RAM: 256 MB

Hello all,

Second monitor needs explicit ModeLine
Hi,
without an explicit ModeLine in xorg.conf, the full resolution of my
secondary monitor is not listed in Xorg.0.log, xrandr, or gnome's
configuration tool. If the secondary Monitor is the only one that is
connected, its native resolution works and is chosen by default.
I was able to get a suitable ModeLine by disconnecting my primary
monitor. Right now, with the ModeLine in place, both

Polycom MWI's will not turn off
Hello,
I have a bunch of Polycom 601's and Asterisk 1.4.13. The problem is that
the MWI indicators will never go off (The blinking red light and envelope in
the LCD).
I have tried to upgrade to 1.4.14 and all different SIP versions on the
Polycoms. I am now at 1.6.7
Here is the SIP Message that turns on the lights:

Te110P initial installation problems ?
Hi,
thank you for last info. we've tried to use te110p but failed. We're quite
surprised that cable wasn't included with the card as any documentation, at
least on HW setup and installation, yet cable pinout for connection to PRI
interfaces....

system-config-display wrongly sets up Viewsonic VG730m monitor
I originally set up this monitor with an analogue lead. Everything seemed
fine, so I didn't check xorg.conf at all. Then I bought a digital lead, and
since then the monitor blinks. Running system-config-display identifies it
as a 1280 x 1084 CRT monitor. It is an LCD monitor.
That model is not on the drop-down list, so assuming that a specific driver
wasn't available for it, I

repeated execution of svm(e1071) gives different results, if probability = TRUE is set
Hello, Connoisseurs!
Please explain to novices, why svm model gives different results in the
loop with the same data? As a result, I can not find the best gamma and
cost parameters. Also tune.svm yields results that can not be repeated.
How can I avoid this?
