kernel driver prevents supend to disk since 3.7 series
Hello, 3.7.x kernels prevent my laptop with Optimus VGA from suspend to disk with an PFIFO write fault in PCOPY0, see kernel log below. During the 3.6.x upto 3.6.11 suspend worked without problems. lspci -v info of the VGAs is attached. What may I do to debug this further ? [PATCH 1/3] drm/nouveau: provide a way for devinit to mark engines as disabled
Signed-off-by: Ilia Mirkin <imirkin at alum.mit.edu> --- I decided to let the user still specify config=BLA=1 to override the hw disable in case we get something wrong or for double-checking stuff, but I suspect it won't really be used much. I'm not terribly fond of the message text, if you come up with something better, feel free to drop it in.

nouveau locking up on Debian Jessie.
Hi Ladies and Gentlemans. I'd like to report a possible bug and ask for help in solving it. I have a Mid 2010 Macbook Pro running Debian Jessie. The bug seems to happen at random, but mainly when using a 3D application with other apps running, such as Chromium (Chrome) and Iceweasel (Firefox). It happens when watching videos with VLC and mplayer2. I hope someone will manage to help. Thanks.

nouveau graphical corruption in 3.13.2
Hi guys, With a GeForce 320M GPU running linux 3.13.2 and Xorg 1.15.0, I'm seeing significant graphical corruption and later unrecoverable GPU lockup, accompanied by thousands of ILLEGAL_MTHD or related kernel messages [1]. I see similar issues on 3.12 also. Is there any debugging or testing I can do to help diagnose this? Many thanks, Daniel --- [1] http://quora.org/nouveau-dmesg.txt

[REGRESSION] drm/g94/i2c: add aux channel interrupt driver
Hey, This patch causes a regression on my display-less nvd7. Commenting out the aux, aux_stat and aux_mask members in nvd0_i2c_oclass fixes boot, and makes things work normally again. broken dmesg: [ 40.314470] ACPI Warning: \_SB_.PCI0.GFX0._DSM: Argument #4 type mismatch - Found [Buffer], ACPI requires [Package] (20140424/nsarguments-95) [ 40.314729] ACPI Warning: \_SB_.PCI0.GFX0._DSM:

[Bug 84721] [NVC1] Nvidia Geforce GT 630 using nouveau on 3.16 kernel. dangerous Fan speed
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84721 --- Comment #10 from Krzysztof Katowicz-Kowalewski <vnd at vndh.net> --- As far as I've checked, the problem appeared in 3.15 kernel. I've tried hardened-sources-3.14.29 and there's no problem with the fan, at least in auto mode. But since you change the mode to manual (echo 1 > pwm1_enable), the fan gets mad as in 3.15

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84721 --- Comment #12 from Krzysztof Katowicz-Kowalewski <vnd at vndh.net> --- @r004, I had the same problem with my system and I've made little investigation. Indeed the problem appeared in 3.15 and it's still there in latest 3.18 kernel. For the quick and easy work-around use kernel 3.14 or lower. -- You are receiving this mail
