NV130 - gtx 1050 ti
First things first -- I've alluded to this before, but let me be clear -- there is no global database that contains monitor-specific information which is used by any linux drivers. Please forget any notions you had of such a thing existing or being used. The information comes from the EDID blob supplied by the monitor. Presumably hwinfo has a primitive EDID parser, which is where that

NV130 - gtx 1050 ti
This is sort of working -- but I can't get it to do a 4k output. Not sure how the monitor resolution is detected - This monitor is supposed to do 3480x1200 60hz 4:4:4 But the info I get from hwinfo is different. How does nouveau get this information? If it is from an ID - with a list - the list is probably is wrong. # hwinfo --monitor 95: None 00.1: 10002 LCD Monitor [Created at

errors with GeForce GTX 650 Ti and 3 monitors
Well, I downgraded back to 2 monitors and it turns out that this problem has reappeared when using only 2 monitors as well. There must have been a regression of some sort somewhere along the line, possibly in one of the latest kernels? What can I provide to help this issue get fixed? -Rob > On Dec 5, 2014, at 8:07 AM, Rob Jansen <rob.g.jansen at nrl.navy.mil> wrote: > > Hi, >

FYI, I’ve downgraded to kernel 3.16.7-200.fc20.x86_64 and have not had any lockups for several days. So I guess this means I’ll stay at 3.16.7-200.fc20.x86_64 for the time being. Whatever fixes happened in 3.17 seemed to have made things worse, at least for me. -Rob > On Dec 5, 2014, at 6:32 PM, Ilia Mirkin <imirkin at alum.mit.edu> wrote: > > There were fixes in 3.17 that were

errors with GeForce GTX 650 Ti and 3 monitors
Hi, Using 3 monitors on the GeForce GTX 650 Ti card (2 DVI and 1 VGA) works great out of the box on Fedora 20. However, every couple of days the graphics driver seems to crash. The same thing used to happen when 2 monitors were in use, but that has pretty much stabilized as of late. Does anyone have a stable setup with this card using 3 monitors? Will 3 monitors be supported? Thanks, Rob $

errors with GeForce GTX 650 Ti and 3 monitors
There were fixes in 3.17 that were supposed to help this, but apparently they didn't help enough. See https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72180 -- basically some sort of card setup failure on our part is causing our ctxsw to die, but nvidia's appears to be more resilient to the screwups. Error running OC package - program ending
I am attempting to run Poole's OC package in R, using Windows NT 5.1. Everytime I try to estimate a two-dimensional model, the estimation begins and then I am informed "R for Windows GUI front-end has encountered a problem and needs to close". There is no problem estimating a one-dimensional model. I have no idea why the estimation will not contine. I have included the error

EVGA's oc scanner works in wine
http://www.evga.com/ocscanner is a free tool for EVGA owners to benchmark graphics cards. It looks ugly on wine, probably because of http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=24890 ( LWA_COLORKEY support missing ), and it can't detect gpu temperature, etc., but the benchmark part works great under Wine. And since it's an OpenGL app, wine scores quite well. It's the first consumer app

Does anyone know how to use the DND feature oc Cisco 7940/7960
Hi all, I have looked at cisco docs and it says DND is set by pressing the services button and choosing DND. Does anyone know how to configure DND in the services.xml file. I've googled around and not found anything. When you enable it in SIPDefault.cnf it just allows you to use it once. Many thanks for all your amazing work. Daniel Niasoff

Asterisk guru wanted, SoCal (LA/OC/San Bernardino County)
We've mostly gotten our Asterisk install working, but there are a couple glitches I haven't been able to fix. I'm looking for someone who knows Asterisk, can do some consulting work, and is in Southern California. Los Angeles or Orange County are ok, but I'd prefer someone in the Inland Empire, with strongest preference given to people here in the High Desert or in the San

OC curve in "Quality Control"
Dear all, Can anyone please help me about any of the following questions: -------------------------------------------- 1. How can i find "factorial" of any number in R? I tried > prod(170:1) # to find factorial of 170 or 170! Is it the only procedure - or R has any better process / operational character to calculate factorial? Also, is it possible to calculate factorial of 500? Or

pixels in half life 2
Decided to try wine to run games so I did not need to dual boot with windows. I downloaded steam first because it looked like it worked well in wine. Steam is working great. Downloaded Amnesia, the Dark Descent first and tried it out. It runs great. Decided to try Half-Life 2 and I get the Valve screen then it goes black for a second then the screen is just a bunch of random pixels. I am a

convert pixels into axis coordinates in R
Dear R users, I've two questions: 1) Does anybody have a clue how to convert pixel from a jpeg graphic (e.g. something like a square of 100x100 pxs) into axis coordinate values in R? / //2)// Is there any possibility to extend the locator function in a way that //locator( ) outputs all coordinates from a plot at once, without clicking on the graph? Thanks for any hints. Regards, P.
