[PATCH 14/24] drm/nouveau: Merge pre/postclose hooks
Again no apparent explanation for the split except hysterical raisins.
Merging them also makes it a bit more obviuos what's going on wrt the
runtime pm refdancing.

[PATCH 0/3] drm/nouveau: fix a use-after-free in postclose()
This series fixes a number of use-after-frees in nouveau's postclose()
handler. It was discovered by pointing IGT's core_hotunplug tests at a
nouveau device, but the steps to reproduce it are simple:
1. Open the device file
2. Unbind the driver or remove the device
3. Close the file opened in step 1.
During the device removal, the nouveau_drm structure is de-allocated,
but is

[PATCH 08/13] drm/nouveau: drop DRM_AUTH from DRM_RENDER_ALLOW ioctls
From: Emil Velikov <emil.velikov at collabora.com>
The authentication can be circumvented, by design, by using the render
node.
>From the driver POV there is no distinction between primary and render
nodes, thus we can drop the token.
Note: the outstanding DRM_AUTH instance is:
- legacy DRI1 ioctl, which is already neutered

[PATCH v2 3/9] drm/nouveau: Do not set struct drm_driver.lastclose
Remove the implementation of struct drm_driver.lastclose. The hook
was only necessary before in-kernel DRM clients existed, but is now
obsolete. The code in nouveau_vga_lastclose() is performed by
drm_lastclose().

nouveau regression [bisected] hotplug broken on gf108 since 4.1
Hi All,
I'm having this really weird issue with broken hotplug on a Dell Latitude E6430 with
hybrid gfx, with a gf108 as discrete GPU.
The LCD panel and VGA are connected through a mux to the iGPU, but the HDMI is only
connected to the nvidia dGPU. Plugging in a HDMI monitor when the dGPU is suspend
works fine, the ACPI event fires and everything works as it should.
Unplugging the HDMI

[PATCH v2 06/21] drm/i915: Introduce GEM object functions
GEM object functions deprecate several similar callback interfaces in
struct drm_driver. This patch replaces the per-driver callbacks with
per-instance callbacks in i915.
v2:
* move object-function instance to i915_gem_object.c (Jani)

[PATCH 2/3] drm: Move non-kms driver state into struct drm_legacy_state
All non-kms driver fields are now located in struct drm_legacy_state. A
driver-wide instance is available via struct drm_driver.legacy. The call
sites test if the driver is marked with DRIVER_LEGACY before accessing
the fields.

[PATCH 1/2] drm/nouveau: Fix runtime PM leak in drm_open()
Noticed this as I was skimming through, if we fail to allocate memory
for cli we'll end up returning without dropping the runtime PM ref we
got. Additionally, we'll even return the wrong return code! (ret most
likely will == 0 here, we want -ENOMEM).
