[PATCH] drm: Mark expected switch fall-throughs
In preparation to enabling -Wimplicit-fallthrough, mark switch cases where we are expecting to fall through. Warning level 3 was used: -Wimplicit-fallthrough=3 Notice that, in some cases, the code comment is modified in accordance with what GCC is expecting to find. This patch is part of the ongoing efforts to enable -Wimplicit-fallthrough. Signed-off-by: Gustavo A. R. Silva <gustavo at

[RFC] Remove AGP support from Radeon/Nouveau/TTM
Hi guys, Well let's face it AGP is a total headache to maintain and dead for at least 10+ years. We have a lot of x86 specific stuff in the architecture independent graphics memory management to get the caching right, abusing the DMA API on multiple occasions, need to distinct between AGP and driver specific page tables etc etc... So the idea here is to just go ahead and remove the support

[PATCH 00/17] Convert TTM to the new fence interface.
This series applies on top of the driver-core-next branch of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/driver-core.git Before converting ttm to the new fence interface I had to fix some drivers to require a reservation before poking with fence_obj. After flipping the switch RCU becomes available instead, and the extra reservations can be dropped again. :-) I've done at least basic

[PATCH v2 78/86] drm/radeon: Run DRM default client setup
Rework fbdev probing to support fbdev_probe in struct drm_driver and remove the old fb_probe callback. Provide an initializer macro for struct drm_driver that sets the callback according to the kernel configuration. Call drm_client_setup() to run the kernel's default client setup for DRM. Set fbdev_probe in struct drm_driver, so that the client setup can start the common fbdev client. The

[RFC] Deprecate AGP GART support for Radeon/Nouveau/TTM
Unfortunately AGP is still to widely used as we could just drop support for using its GART. Not using the AGP GART also doesn't mean a loss in functionality since drivers will just fallback to the driver specific PCI GART. For now just deprecate the code and don't enable the AGP GART in TTM even when general AGP support is available. Please comment, Christian.
