[PATCH] drm/nouveau/clk: Initial implementation for reclocking NVAA/NVAC
Reclocking of NVAA/NVAC is substantially different from NV50+, enough to justify a separate clock implementation. This code is a forward-port of reclocking code that has been sitting in a branch for a while, and has been tested on my NVAC. Traces show no significant reasons why this shouldn't work on NVAA, but testers are always welcome. And since these are IGPs without dedicated RAM to

[PATCH] kmmio/mmiotrace: fix double free of kmmio_fault_pages
After every iounmap mmiotrace has to free kmmio_fault_pages, but it can't do it directly, so it defers freeing by RCU. It usually works, but when mmiotraced code calls ioremap-iounmap multiple times without sleeping between (so RCU won't kick in and start freeing) it can be given the same virtual address, so at every iounmap mmiotrace will schedule the same pages for release. Obviously it

Nouveau wiki translations
Hi all, it seems that the translations in the Nouveau wiki have been rotting for some time. Many translated pages even have a note saying they are not up to date, which makes me think they are not going to be updated anymore at all. I am planning to remove all translation links from FrontPage and FAQ. I will not remove the pages themselves. If someone wants to come back and actually maintain a

nv50 microcode/shader format
Hello there, With the use of CUDA and ptx I managed to make a disassembler for at least one of the nv50 microcode/shader formats. This might come in handy for some people, hence I'm posting it here: http://www.cs.rug.nl/~wladimir/decuda/ I'm not yet sure if pixel/vertex shaders use the same instruction format as the compute shaders used by CUDA, but you'd think so, as nv50 is

[PATCH] fix free of event channel in blkfront
Hi All, We tested the xm block-attach/detach command. It repeats block-attach/detach command for DomU and pv-on-hvm on HVM Domain. (block-attach -> block-detach -> block-attach -> block-detach -> ...) The block-attach command failed when repeating 256 times. It is because the channel had not been freed in blkfront. Therefore, it remain using the event channel. This patch is

[PATCH] x86/mm/kmmio: Fix mmiotrace for page unaligned addresses
If something calls ioremap with an address not aligned to PAGE_SIZE, the returned address might be not aligned as well. This led to a probe registered on exactly the returned address, but the entire page was armed for mmiotracing. On calling iounmap the address passed to unregister_kmmio_probe was PAGE_SIZE aligned by the caller leading to a complete freeze of the machine. We should always page

Introduction and discussion - Nouveau for Ubuntu Lucid
Hi, I've been following the list for a short while and scanned the archive. Apologies for missing any answers that were in the archive. I'm the Ubuntu kernel team member focusing on graphics during the Ubuntu Lucid Lynx (10.4) cycle. At the Ubuntu developer summit last week, we made the decision to include Nouveau in the Lucid kernel. I'd like to open a few topics for discussion
