Commit cae9ff036eea effectively disabled the drm poll_helper by checking the wrong flag to see if the driver should enable the poll or not: mode_config.poll_enabled is only set to true by poll_init and it is not indicating if the poll is enabled or not. nouveau_display_create() will initialize the poll and going to disable it right away. Hello guys, I've prepared a patch based on my findings for the bbswitch module (https://github.com/Lekensteyn/acpi-stuff/tree/master/bbswitch). This adds a proper check whether a _DSM function is supported or not and make OFF / ON for vga_switcheroo work for nVidia Optimus models. The patch is based against the mainline kernel. It has been tested on my Clevo B7130 laptop running kernel 3.2

Hi, Here are two patches to fix an issue reported on kernel bugzilla (infinite loop due to unchecked function) and a more important fix to fix hanging Optimus machines when runtime PM is enabled (with pm/pci patches). See the first version[1] for a background on the fixed problems. This is the second revision of incorporating feedback from Emil Velikov (patch 1), Mika Westerberg (patch 4).

This patch series makes suspend support in qemu alot more useful. Right now the guest can put itself into s3, but qemu will wakeup the guest instantly.
