[PATCH] drm: prefix header search paths with $(srctree)/
Currently, the Kbuild core manipulates header search paths in a crazy way [1]. To fix this mess, I want all Makefiles to add explicit $(srctree)/ to the search paths in the srctree. Some Makefiles are already written in that way, but not all. The goal of this work is to make the notation consistent, and finally get rid of the gross hacks. Having whitespaces after -I does not matter since commit

[PATCH 10/10] virtio: enable endian checks for sparse builds
__CHECK_ENDIAN__ isn't on by default presumably because it triggers too many sparse warnings for correct code. But virtio is now clean of these warnings, and we want to keep it this way - enable this for sparse builds. Signed-off-by: Michael S. Tsirkin <mst at redhat.com> --- It seems that there should be a better way to do it, but this works too. drivers/block/Makefile | 1

The newly introduced LED handling for nouveau fails to link when the driver is built-in but the LED subsystem is a loadable module: drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/nouveau.o: In function `nouveau_do_suspend': tvnv17.c:(.text.nouveau_do_suspend+0x10): undefined reference to `nouveau_led_suspend' drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/nouveau.o: In function `nouveau_do_resume':

[PATCH] drm: merge nouveau_platform.ko into nouveau.ko
Having the two modules separated causes various unneeded complications, including having to export symbols accessed between the modules. Make things simpler by compiling platform device support into nouveau.ko. Platform device support remains optional and is only compiled on Tegra. Signed-off-by: Alexandre Courbot <acourbot at nvidia.com> --- Vince, with this you won't have to export

[PATCH 1/5] core: add firmware handling functions
Add two functions nvkm_firmware_get() and nvkm_firmware_put() to load a firmware file and free its resources, respectively. Since firmware files are becoming a necessity for new GPUs, and their location has been standardized to nvidia/chip/, this will prevent duplicate and error-prone name-generation code. [PATCH] better kbuild integration
Following patch improves integration with kbuild. With a future kernel (2.6.14-rc) it now has working support for 'make clean'. Included is an example of how to compile an early userspace program. I selected gzip as the most simple one for this - and left out all the links to different names (gunzip etc.) Before proceeding with this I need some inputs on what functionality is required by

move kbuild files to reflect dir structure in kernel
To make it more obvious where the files are supposed to end up move files so they reflect the directory structure in the kernel: mkdir scripts mv kernel/Kbuild.* scripts/ mkdir usr mv kernel/Kbuild usr rmdir kernel Furthermore: - updated cp-to-kernel to refelct new directory layout - teach cp-to-kernel to place gzip right under usr/ - Add '#' in front of comment in usr/Kbuild --- I
