Nouveau on a Jetson TK1 problems
Is there any particular reason you're not using the open source NVIDIA Tegra drivers? This is what is being used for the TX1 (Sorry I don't know if it's the same for the TK1) http://nv-tegra.nvidia.com/gitweb/?p=linux-3.10.git;a=summary On Mon, Oct 17, 2016 at 11:11 AM, ben <benjaminscott at centurylink.net> wrote: > I hope this is a good mailing list for this problem. Self introduction Hans de Goede
Hi All, Since I will be working on nouveau pretty much starting today I thought it would be good to write a quick self introduction. I'm an FOSS enthusiast / developer since 1996. I've written (and still maintain) various hwmon drivers, various USB webcam drivers, libv4l and libgphoto camlibs for photoframes which use a custom usb protocol and usb redirection over the network for qemu.

[PATCH 000/102] Convert drivers to explicit reset API
The reset control API has two modes: exclusive access, where the driver expects to have full and immediate control over the state of the reset line, and shared (clock-like) access, where drivers only request reset deassertion while active, but don't care about the state of the reset line while inactive. Hi there, Could someone please comment on the following hard-lock (*). Staring at the code, I see `nvkm_rd32` calls are enclosed in a timeout detection, except one. drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/nvkm/engine/gr/g84.c#L171 ... nvkm_msec(device, 2000, if (!(nvkm_rd32(device, 0x100c80) & 0x00000001)) break; ); ... Would it make sense to also enclose this in the do/while loop ? Full ref: *

nouveau preventing shutdown after suspend-resume
Hello, I'm working on a Asus X756UQK laptop with nvidia + intel graphics cards. After a suspend-resume cycle, the machine hangs on shutdown, requiring a forced power off. After resuming I sometimes see the following messages on the kernel log: [ 186.117539] nouveau 0000:01:00.0: DRM: evicting buffers...
