Samuel, the HP GT630 is unfortunately the GK107. Given we find the other GT630 model I will check it and come back to you. Are you interested in any of the other two cards? Hi, I talked to our IT guy over lunch. He thinks there is an old GT630 with 384 shaders somewhere. The 384 shader GPU is the GK208. Given we can find it and it is obsolete, I probably can donate this one too. Let me know if you are looking for this one. Samuel, in the meantime this matter is driving me crazy. I found a Quadro K610M, this should have the GK208 GPU. Don't know if it works, it was in our store-room. Can check on Friday in what state the card is and what lspci says. But, on a first look, it appears quite OK. Also I am not sure I can actually get the card, will have to check this too on Friday. If this attempt to get a

Subdomain Account Keys Best Practice
Hi all, I''m thinking of useing sub-domains as account keys, something I''ve played with previously. I have accounts and users, fairly standard, except that users can belong to many accounts, and accounts can have many users. So I figure I need to have an area on the main domain, that allows users to view their account memberships and things. Sort of like a dashboard for each

San Andreas and ATI graphic card :/
Hi, I'm using Ubuntu Dapper and I'm trying to emulate GTA San Andreas. Unfortunately, I have ATI Radeon 9600 PRO :( . (I've got the newest drivers 8.26.18) When I'm running Wine, this game starts and works only for a couple of seconds :/ It shows logo of San Andreas, and after that it crashes. Wine shows this bug: fixme:system:SystemParametersInfoW Unimplemented action: 8193

rsync - missing one or more directories?
I am running: + cd /oas + rsync -a --rsh=/usr/bin/ssh --rsync-path=/dcs/packages/gnu/bin/rsync --progress root@sherlock1.oas.uci.edu:/oas . ...and I can see that it sometimes transfers some files, however, it appears to be consistently missing this directory: /oas/projects/pers/oct2004 What might cause this? Thanks!

Folding At Home
Hey Y'all, I have the Stanford University Folding At Home project running on three of my machines. I had them all set up so that I could control them all from my main machine, 192.168.15.101, but some time ago something changed so that I can no longer connect to the FAH clients on the other two machines. I figured it wasn't really important so I would look into it later. Well time has

Using a CentOS 6 Machine as a gateway/router/home server

IMHO, keeping the firewall function completely separate simplifies security. that router board can handle 300 Mbit/sec of

Intel Vroc experiences?
Hi, Has anyone had any experience with Intel Vroc[1]? I'm possibly having to deal with a new server with such technology and can't find much (real world) information about it. Looking at the specs it's basically a glorified fake raid which usually turns on my alarm bells. Has anyone done any testing, how does it compare with "real" raid or software raid? Cheers, Lucian [1]
