[PATCH] drm/nouveau/fbcon: fix font width not divisible by 8
The patch f045f459d925 ("drm/nouveau/fbcon: fix out-of-bounds memory accesses") tries to fix some out of memory accesses. Unfortunatelly, the patch breaks the display when using fonts with width that is not divisiable by 8. The monochrome bitmap for each character is stored in memory by lines from top to bottom. Each line is padded to a full byte. For example, for 22x11 font, each line

[PATCH net-next v2 3/4] virtio-net: auto-tune mergeable rx buffer size for improved performance
Hi Michael, Here's a quick sketch of some code that enforces a minimum buffer alignment of only 64, and has a maximum theoretical buffer size of aligned GOOD_PACKET_LEN + (BUF_ALIGN - 1) * BUF_ALIGN, which is at least 1536 + 63 * 64 = 5568. On x86, we already use a 64 byte alignment, and this code supports all current buffer sizes, from 1536 to PAGE_SIZE. #if L1_CACHE_BYTES < 64 #define

[PATCH v2] drm/nouveau: Remove file nouveau_fbcon.c
Commit 4a16dd9d18a0 ("drm/nouveau/kms: switch to drm fbdev helpers") converted nouveau to generic fbdev emulation. The driver's internal implementation later got accidentally restored during a merge commit. Remove the file from the driver. No functional changes. v2: * point Fixes tag to merge commit (Alex) Signed-off-by: Thomas Zimmermann <tzimmermann at suse.de>

[PATCH v2 2/3] fbmem, drm/nouveau: kick firmware framebuffers as soon as possible
Currently vesafb/efifb/... is kicked when hardware driver is registering framebuffer. To do it hardware must be fully functional, so there's a short window between start of initialisation and framebuffer registration when two drivers touch the hardware. Unfortunately sometimes it breaks nouveau initialisation. Fix it by kicking firmware driver(s) before we start touching the hardware.

[PATCH] drm/nouveau/fbcon: fix deadlock with FBIOPUT_CON2FBMAP
The FBIOPUT_CON2FBMAP ioctl takes a console_lock(). When this is called while nouveau was runtime suspended, a deadlock would occur due to nouveau_fbcon_set_suspend also trying to obtain console_lock(). Fix this by delaying the drm_fb_helper_set_suspend call. Based on the i915 code (which was done for performance reasons though). Cc: Chris Wilson <chris at chris-wilson.co.uk> Cc: Daniel
