Grapics Device Resolution Limits
Note that there are at least 5 separate png() devices, so Linux was not
using the (default) device used on Windows.
In general, the device-limits info is not on the help page because we do
not know it. On Windows the default device limits depend on the OS
version, 32/64-bit, RAM and the graphics hardware. This sounds like the
last: you were asking for 49 megapixels which is far larger than

Grapics Device Resolution Limits
Good day,
Could the documentation of graphics devices give some explanation of how big the bitmap limits are? For example,
> png("Figure1A.png", h = 7, w = 7, res = 1000, units = "cm")
Results in Error: unable to start png() device, but the help page of devices doesn't explain that there are any limits or how they are determined. The wording of the error message could

Samba upgrade issue . . .
look : winbind depends on samba (= 2:4.1.18+dfsg-3~inverse1); however:
>2:4.1.18+dfsg-3~inverse1
so mixed setup of ubuntu with inverse packages of samba.
You need to use the inverse packages of samba to keep openchange working.
I suggest you set your package pinning.
OR !
remove the inverse : winbind version and install the ubuntu version.

bluster install fails with puppet
Hey there,
I try to install the latest gluster server onto a debian machine with puppet. Unfortunately this gives me:
Starting glusterd service: glusterd.
/usr/sbin/glusterd: option requires an argument -- 'f'
Try `glusterd --help' or `glusterd --usage' for more information.
invoke-rc.d: initscript glusterfs-server, action "start" failed.

[PATCH 1/4] drm: retrieve EDID via ACPI _DDC method
Thanks, Lukas. I've incorporated your feedback into my local tree, but
will wait for additional feedback from the individual DRM driver
maintainers before sending out a series v2.

reboot of nut managment node resets Tripplite SMX1000LCD
Hi Roger et.al,
The shutdown /reset of UPS is near instantaneous after rpi reboots or
switches off.
FWIW -- It looks like something is off with Ubuntu 20.04 -- I tried
with raspbian and arch linux using the same nut configuration on the
same hardware and the UPS does not reset.
I have repurposed an old rpi2 to act as a nut server.
Thanks Roger.
