AGP cards in PCI mode (fake slots like AGPro, AGP Express, AGI, AGX, XGP)
Hello,
I have a PC Chips A31G board with AGPro slot and found that nouveau does not
work properly with it. Console works but reverts to software mode, X11 hangs
with mouse cursor only.
The slot is physically AGP 1.5V but is wired to PCI bus as the chipset (SiS
761) does not support AGP cards. To further complicate things, the chipset has
AGP capability - but only for the integrated video. You can

[PATCH] drm/nouveau/agp: add a quirk list to limit agp modes
Certain combinations of hardware can't actually support the maximum
detected speed. Add a quirk list that lists pairs of hostbridge/chip pci
ids and the mode that they should work with.
See https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20341

It seems like this quirk is likely too specific. This almost certainly

[RFC] Remove AGP support from Radeon/Nouveau/TTM
Hi guys,
Well let's face it AGP is a total headache to maintain and dead for at least 10+ years.
We have a lot of x86 specific stuff in the architecture independent graphics memory management to get the caching right, abusing the DMA API on multiple occasions, need to distinct between AGP and driver specific page tables etc etc...
So the idea here is to just go ahead and remove the support

Might want to clarify that there is no loss of functionality here.

HVM Networking Issues
I''ve looked long and hard for an answer to this and am stuck.
I have setup a Windows XP DomU on Xen 3.2-1 running on Debian and I
can connect fine to the instance via VNC but I get no networking
within the windows instance as it says the IP address conflicts with
another on the network.
All my linux instances network fine, and I''m confused as to the issue.
Can anybody provide

[RFC] Deprecate AGP GART support for Radeon/Nouveau/TTM
Unfortunately AGP is still to widely used as we could just drop support for using its GART.
Not using the AGP GART also doesn't mean a loss in functionality since drivers will just fallback to the driver specific PCI GART.
For now just deprecate the code and don't enable the AGP GART in TTM even when general AGP support is available.
Please comment,
Christian.

Blank console but X11 works on MCP79 - old regression since 3.8
Hello,
I've just been hit by this old bug which is still present in 4.14:
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=80675
On MCP79 (ION), when stolen memory is set to 32MB in BIOS, console is blank
but X11 works. When the stolen memory is increased to 64MB, console works
fine.
Bisected it to this:

Xen IBM X3400 boots dead
I am attempting to install a Xen solution on an IBM X3400.
The raid card is the IBM M1015 which is based on the LSI 9220-8I. I followed the directions on the tutorial called "RHEL6 Xen4 Tutorial" at http://wiki.xen.org/wiki/RHEL6_Xen4_Tutorial .
When I attempt to boot the kernel the computer freezes. I don''t get any errors or anything helpful.
I have also attempted to
