Nouveau on GeForce GTX 980M
Hi, I was wondering is it possible to can get my GeForce GTX 980M work with Nouveau. I see that the non "M" version if GTX 980 is supported ( https://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/CodeNames/) but not the "M" version, how different are they? Now it uses Gallium 0.4 on llvmpipe, from my understanding that's fallback using the cpu right? *lshw -C video:* *-display

Missing menus in windows after update
Ubuntu 13.10 x86_64 up to date on laptop with nVidia GeForce GTX 765M. There were some updates that I applied last week, and ever since I have missing text in some menus and lists. It is especially bad in Claws Mail and LibreOffice Writer. However, text appears correctly; it's just the menus where the text has disappeared. For example, when writing in LO Writer the part of the window where

Can you try something very simple - unplug the cable, and plug it back in, while the TV is on, and set to the HDMI input? That should ensure that the SCDC write can go through at modeset time. You can also force nouveau to avoid any modes that require scrambling by booting with nouveau.hdmimhz=340. Cheers, -ilia On Tue, Aug 6, 2019 at 1:15 PM James <bjlockie at lockie.ca> wrote: >

Donate NVS 510 and 310 cards
I'm in Europe (at least until the 23rd...) so let me know your address. My motivation is to get them working reliably under Fedora 23 x86 to drive a Dell UP2414Q 4k monitor, where currently my father's PC is experiencing regular freezes. So if you would like the loan of a UP2414Q monitor to go with the cards, let me know too. (The UP2414Q is an interesting monitor to drive since it

Boot Failure: GTX 970 & Fedora 24 Kernel 4.6.4-301.fc24.x86_64
I have read several bugs with similar issues on BugZilla concerning 4.6.4 and GTX 970's. I managed a work around by booting to previous kernel release but nouveau wont work with this card. I run two GPUs, so I moved my 760 to primary to at least get a boot, obviously the other screen with this card wont work (just sleeps). I would report this to BugZilla however with the boot failure on

[LLVMdev] [PATCH] Add a Scalarize pass
Hi Richard, The discussion on llvmpipe is irrelevant. llvmpipe has its own pass manager and optimization pipe, it is not a C compiler. I have a Gigabyte GeForce 1050 connected by DVI to a monitor (1920x1200 resolution @ 59.9502 Hz) and a TV via HDMI (3840x2160 @30 Hz). The problem is the TV used to work at 59.9685 Hz but then it started showing "No signal" on the TV. I was changing settings trying to get it to work again and I happened to change it to 30Hz and it worked. The specs are here:
