Hi! I've got a USB key with several tools (small linux, memtest86+) booting via syslinux. But now I have to add powermax.exe (a MSDOS tool to test Maxtor disks) on this key. As I've always been on Unix/Linux system, I don't know what to do to run powermax.exe from syslinux. I've made a boot floppy disk and tried to copy everything on my usb key and put the command.com in kernel

I am trying to load Samba 3.0.4 on Motorola PowerMAX 5.1. Samba is not recognizing the platform when I compile it. It is bombing out on the config.sub script. Is it possible to mix maildir and mbox formats with dovecot? For example, I would like ~/mail to be in maildir format yet keep the inbox (/var/mail/%u) in mbox format. If so, how may I go about this? Or am I stuck not being able to create subdirectories in ~/mail? Cheers, Shane

I configured dovecot on a Fedora Core 2 system - the version that comes with FC2. I was using it with a RHEL 3 NFS server. Dovecot would again and again get stuck trying to grab an fcntl lock, even though I specified that it should only use dotlocks in dovecot.conf. Sometimes it would segfault (leaving things locked?). Often there would be two dovecot imapd processes for the same user.

Is there any way of increasing rsync's block transfer size for when you need to transfer data from one filesystem to another on the same disk? Using a large blocksize tends to decrease track to track seeks.
