Lotus Notes 5.0.x and Wine - No printer
I've successfully installed and configured (well except the printing portion...read on) wine20030408 and am running Notes 5.0.8 on it. Everything works fine except I cannot get it to print. When I launch the File --> Print... the print window pops open and states "No printer currently selected." I cannot select any printer either. The two network printers that I use daily are

WINEPS insists on using LPT1:
I'm running Wine 20010305. I am using the WINEPS driver and trying to direct it to various printers on various ports. It seems to output to port LPT1 regardless of the port I specify in the registry and win.ini. Here is a simplified scenario, in which I define only one printer, on LPT2. Can any one tell me what is happening? Follow-up question: Am I limited to 9 printers, on LPT1-LPT9?

WINEPS.DRV built-in: How to fake out bad applications...?
I've been unable to get a [badly written] commercial application to get past this app's insistence on finding WINEPS.DRV... it complains with "NO DEFAULT PRINTER SELECTED" -- days of searching, reading, trying every approach has me tearing my hair out. Worse, my knowledge of C is ancient (circa 1970)... Can anyone either suggest a patch or pointer to the best place to add code

RODBC
I saw in the R-digest a thread about RODBC. 1) I think that this package is *extremely* valuable : it fulfills a need quite important in the case of iterative (e. g. periodic) analyses. No need to periodically return to your data and re-dumping them ... 2) The current version has a serious bug if your datasets has missing numeric values. M. Lapsley, the original author, is aware of it, but has

Wineps and raw print
Hi, I was wondering if someone could help me on this issue. I use a windows program that print direct to the printer, but it uses the printer from the printer list, it doesn't use the port directly. On Windows, to use the program I have to install a "Generic / Only Text" printer to work. The program runs on wine without problems. The only problem is to print. I created a raw

Cluster size not supported
Hello all, I just installed wine from CVS on fakewindows configuration, but I can't seem to get anything to work well. I tried installing the DCOM98, but I get "Cluster size not supported." The same error occurs when I execute just about anything. Has anyone encountered this or know what it is referring to? Thanks in advance, Leo

Unable to print with the Wine PS driver
I'm trying to get Wine to print through it's PS driver, without success, on a HP DeskJet 694C, configured on Linux with the cdj670 driver. What I get to see on screen after I attempt to print are three windows with exclamation marks on a yellow triangle and garbled text. The first window is titled "Printer name", the second "Device name", the third "Output".

Default Page Size
I've finally gotten wine (codeweavers) to work with my non-Windows system. I can run Lotus Notes without many problems and can even print to my postscript printer with WINEPS.DRV, but I need to remember to change the page size from A4 to Letter each time I restart Notes (or any other app). Is there a way to tell wine or WINEPS.DRV to default to Letter? Thanks, Rick(rick@rlknight.com)

Delphi applications printing bug
Hi, I'm using Wine 0.9.27 and Ubuntu 6.06. I've problems when printing from Delphi Apps that use QReport (the default reporting engine for most Delphi versions), and after some hacking I've perhaps isolated the trouble: it seems that Delphi printing over a Canvas works only if I show the system PrintDialog or the PrinterSetupDialog befor printing, and I press OK in this dialog:

tiff printer driver in wine?!
Hi, we need a solution for running a tiff printer driver within wine which creates tiff files from a word document, for example. Only printing through cups and/or lpr to a postscript file is doing now as known, but this is much overhead for the application we want to run. There should be a way to run such a tiff printer driver in wine. Or is doing anyone writing wineps like tiff driver

Print to POS printer
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello, I've been searching teh web but I don't find a clear solution for this: The program I am running needs to print a bill to a remote printer (attached to a IBM NC 2200) compatible with EPSON TM-U210D. How can I avoid the WINEPS.DRV? Can I use the driver that works fine in Windows (tm300s.drv)? Thanks a lot. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE-----
