Problems getting nouveau to work with either Geforce GT710 or Geforce 9800GT on ARM Cortex-A9
Hi Ben, Ok! I've removed nvidiafb from kernel config. Now linux is able to boot with the msi Geforce GT 710 card and eventually ends up displaying a slightly distorted lightdm login screen. The mouse cursor moves, but never changes to typing cursor mode when hovering the password input box, and I am also unable to enter the password, some graphics glitches in the login box too. There are

Lockups ENGT430 (NVc0), failed to unbind.
Twice in a little over a week, nouveau has locked up on my system with an Asus ENGT430 that is "Detected [as] an NVc0 generation card (0x0c1080a1)" at boot time. OS is Mageia 2, kernel 3.4.45-server-1.mga2. At the time of both lockups, I had a couple dozen Firefox windows plus several other miscellaneous windows open. Here are the some snippets from /var/log/messages a few days before

Clipping using par(plt=..., xpd=FALSE) inconsistencies
Here is a demonstration of behaviour that is probably an optimization by someone far smarter than me that did not anticipate anyone wanting to do this, but for my purposes it looks more like a bug than a feature. I have tested this with R2.6.2 on Windows, no additional packages loaded (beyond the default), I have tested using the default graphics object, pdf, jpeg, and cairoDevice (ok I loaded a

111 FIXMEs in main/src
Hi, We sometimes see offers to contribute, asking what needs to be done. If they know C, how about the 111 FIXMEs? But which ones would be most useful to fix? Which are difficult and which are easy? Does R-core have a process to list and prioritise the FIXMEs? ~/R/Rtrunk/src/main$ grep "[^/]FIXME" * | wc -l 111 ~/R/Rtrunk/src/main$ grep -A 1 "[^/]FIXME" * arithmetic.c:/*

Lots of IB_EMPTY errors on G98 (GeForce 8400 GS) on SPARC
I'm running on Sun Blade 2500 with a GeForce 8400 GS PCI. After (maybe?) fixing a few errrors with bo allocation, I'm getting a lot of IB_EMPTY errors, ultimately resulting in a GPU lockup. I don't have any sort of framebuffer visible. After reading dma-pusher.txt, I see "An attempt to submit IB entry with length zero will raise DMA_PUSHER error of type IB_EMPTY." How would

Memory leak in 3.0.22?
Hi, I have just switched from FreeBSD 4.11 using 3.0.21b to NetBSD 3.0.1 using 3.0.22. With the same configuration, and the same clients, I am now seeing what appears to be some rather large memory leakage [ I am not sure if this is the fault of Samba or NetBSD ]. Eventually the process will run out of memory (machine only has 256MB of RAM) and the Windows clients (2000, SP4 and all the

Problem compiling R-Patched
I downloaded R-Patched today (to see if another problem I want to ask about is still present or if its just me - as per the posting guide). I ran "tools/rsync-recommended" successfully. I then ran "configure --enable-R-shlib" successfully. Then make stops with the following error. gcc -shared -L/usr/local/lib -o tools.so text.o init.o Rmd5.o md5.o -L../../../../lib -lR
