Xen Security Update - XSA-{268,269,272,273}
Dear Security Team, I have prepared a new upload addressing a number of open security issues in Xen. Due to the complexity of the patches that address XSA-273 [0] the packages have been built from upstream's staging-4.8 / staging-4.10 branch again as recommended in that advisory. Commits on those branches are restricted to those that address the following XSAs (cf. [1]): - XSA-273

Test report xen_4.11.1~pre.20180911.5acdd26fdc+dfsg-2
I'm just dumping all I got in here, after initial feedback we can see how to organize todo's around it. tl;dr: * Does not upgrade cleanly from 4.8 packages, so we have to prevent this from entering testing until we fix that. * Live migration is broken, explodes with memory allocation errors. ---- >8 ---- 1. Build packages * I have built salsa/master using pbuilder targeting sid.

Bug#880554: #880554: max grant frames problem
Control: retitle -1 max grant frames problem (domu freeze with linux-image-4.9.0-4-amd64) Control: severity -1 important Control: reassign -1 src:xen 4.8.3+xsa267+shim4.10.1+xsa267-1+deb9u9 Just gardening here. (i) Bug title should mention grant frames. (ii) This does not affect all use cases and is not, IMO, RC. Although we should certainly see if we can improve it. (iii) Britney is confused

Upgrade Samba 4
Hi, To upgrade my secondary DC Samba 4.5-16 to 4.8 should I remove the smb.conf file in /etc/samba first? I remember I tried last month to upgrade from 4.5-16 to 4.7 and broke the installation. Or are just the procedures below enough? Create this file repo file for apt. echo "deb http://apt.van-belle.nl/debian stretch-samba48 main contrib non-free" | sudo tee -a

Bug#452721: xen-utils-common: "xendomains" does not restore domains in same order as it would start them
Package: xen-utils-common Version: 3.0.3-0-2 Severity: wishlist The "xendomains" init script will start domains according to the order of config files found in /etc/xen/auto/*. I use this so that, in the event of a hard reboot, the more important domains will start first. Some of these contain essential services like DNS resolvers, slapd and so on, and since starting xen domains

Debian Stretch samba 4.10.4 amd/i386 available now. ! Manual step needed when upgrading !
Hai Guys, Upcoming: The Ubuntu Bionic packages are also coming soon, im adding i386 support thats why its taking a bit longer then normal. The following has been done: Debian Stretch samba 4.10 amd64/i386 Updated to samba 4.10.4 I bit later then normal, this was due to a small change needed in ldb packages. I needed to move one file to another package to allow a i386 build while lmdb is

Upgrade Samba 4
No, thats also correct. ? Because in 4.10 new packages are added and removed. ? you need to run : apt-get dist-upgrade ? Small note, i always run : apt-get dist-upgrade -y -dy?, download and yes. ? then run : apt-get dist-upgrade -y ? that makes sure you always have all the needed packages on you server before you upgrade. ?
