Xen Security Update - XSA-{268,269,272,273}
Dear Security Team,
I have prepared a new upload addressing a number of open security
issues in Xen.
Due to the complexity of the patches that address XSA-273 [0] the
packages have been built from upstream's staging-4.8 / staging-4.10
branch again as recommended in that advisory. Commits on those branches
are restricted to those that address the following XSAs (cf. [1]):

Entirely new Xen packaging
I have now finished totally rewriting the Xen package in Debian, from
scratch. Amazingly as soon as I got a package which was lintian-clean
and would install, it worked first time !
I have generated 18 patches to go upstream which I have sent to
xen-devel. There are two more, xenstore ABI patches, which need a bit
of tidying up.
There is still room for improvement but it is now clearly ready

Entirely new Xen packaging
This is awesome! What needs to be done before this can make it to
unstable? I’d love to help if there’s anything I can do.

password protected ssl key seems unsupported after update to 2.3.4.1
Hi,
On a debian server after an update to dovecot to 2.3.4.1 imaps mail client stop working.
I?ve applied necessary migration for ssl_dh (cf https://wiki.dovecot.org/Upgrading/2.3 <https://wiki.dovecot.org/Upgrading/2.3> ) but that was not enough. The workaround I?ve setup was to remove password protection from the ssl_key file. All tests with ssl_key_password parameter failled (direct

Bug#912441: xen-utils-4.11: package missing pygrub binaries
Package: xen-utils-4.11
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
We have discovered that the `pygrub` binaries, expected under `/usr/lib/xen-4.11/bin`, are no longer present in the
xen-utils-4.11 package.
Reviewing the source package reveals that the binary is still present under `tools/pygrub/src/pygrub`, however it is not
referenced anywhere obvious in the package build configurations, nor is

Bug#852545: Config file in xen-hypervisor package likely causes problems on upgrade
Package: xen
Version: 4.8.0-1
Severity: important
Starting with 4.8 the xen-hypervisor-4.8* package will contain a grub config
file in /etc/default/grub.d/xen.cfg. This will be causing problem when moving to
Xen 4.9 because then xen-hypervisor-4.9* will try to install the same file again.
This will prevent two versions of the hypervisor to be co-installable. Maybe the
solution would be to have a

ssl_dh
https://wiki.dovecot.org/SSL/DovecotConfiguration says:
"Since v2.3.3+ Diffie-Hellman parameters have been made optional, and
you are encouraged to disable non-ECC DH algorithms completely."
and a bit later:
"From version 2.3, you must specify path to DH parameters file using
ssl_dh=</path/to/dh.pem"
So.
1. Is ssl_dh an optional or a must?
2. I've disabled ssl_dh

My server was installed as a "minimal install" in text mode, so there
may be some difference between my setup and your laptop. Are you able to
email the output of "systemctl list-unit-files" to me so that I can see
what services are enabled?
I tried installing a couple of the other drivers mentioned in the log
file...

Bug#858962: Request: enable OVMF at build time in 4.8 as it does not require non-free anymore
Package: src:xen
Version: 4.8.1~pre.2017.01.23-1
Severity: wishlist
Dear Maintainer,
In Xen 4.8 it is possible to enable OVMF without the need for any OVMF code or binary to be on the system.
Currently, OVMF is not enabled, probably because it used to require OVMF at compile time which would
make for a hard dependency on non-free code. Since this is no longer the case, you could make it a
