Samba / AD connection issue
Hello list,
We are receiving this error on our AD machine;
"The session setup from the computer COMPUTERNAME failed to authenticate.
The following error occurred:
%%5"
I've searched internet, and it seems to be some kind of trust issue / windows NT 4.0 authentication method. But I couldn't find a answer on how to solve this on the samba server.
Here is my samba config:

Hi,
Can anybody tell me which version of res_perl I have to install on
Asterisk 1.2.4.
I tried to compile res_perl version 3.5 on Asterisk 1.2.4 and I got the
following error.
gcc -Wall -DRES_PERL_BASE="\"/usr/local/res_perl\"" -DMULTIPLICITY -

virsh rights voor normal users
hi,
using the cockpit web ui and with these instructions:
https://libvirt.org/dbus.html#usage
we allow successfully that a group of users can access the console of the
system vms in different kvm hosts.
Oddly enough, in the same cockpit web interface I can use a terminal, and
if I run virsh list --all I get an empty listing.
So using cockpit I can manage the system vms, but I cannot use virsh.

The combination of list.files(), gsub() and file.rename() should to the

"Update in Mac OS"
Dear R-ers,
I'm using R 2.7.1 Mac OS. What is the best way for update to 2.7.2 to
keep my previous libraries?

Centos7.3-Mate
Hello All,
I have this problem starting Centos7.3 - the official name escapes me at the moment.
I often install Centos7 Minimal, then X Window System, then Mate desktop.
This last step gives me trouble, and I have to run
# yum groupinstall mate --skip-broken
output:
skipped packages:
NetworkManager-I2tp
ldns
libreswan
unbound-libs
xl2tpd
I realise this is probably an issue for EPEL

weighted average grouped by variables
Dear Massimo,
It seems straightforward to use weighted.mean() in a dplyr context
library(dplyr)
mydf %>%
group_by(date_time, type) %>%
summarise(vel = weighted.mean(speed, n_vehicles))
Best regards,

Globalize DB translate not working in Rails 1.1.0
It seems there have been some changes to ActiveRecord between Rails
1.1.0 RC and 1.10 Final that cause Globalize to fail; 1.10 RC was
working fine. When retrieving records from the DB only the base language
version is fetched, even when the locale has been set differently. The
SQL in the log confirms that Globalize is ignored and a regular find()
is performed.
