/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -ljs aka missing link from /usr/lib64/libjs.so to /usr/lib64/libjs.so.1
Hello list, I'm trying to compile a php4 package for centos5 and I'm stumbling across some "oddity" with the symbolic links of at least one library. But it's not a php4 problem, so read on. The package 'js' gives the library /usr/lib64/libjs.so.1 but shouldn't there be a link from /usr/lib64/libjs.so to /usr/lib64/libjs.so.1? Otherwise my compiler call %

Puppet fails to install package, whilst it's okay to do manually
Dear all, I''m seeing this strange thing: When I run "*puppet agent -td*" on the node (Nagios, in this example case), puppet fails to install Nagios3 (on Debian) with this: Debug: Executing ''/usr/bin/dpkg-query -W --showformat ${Status} ${Package} > ${Version}\n nagios3'' > Debug: Executing ''/usr/bin/apt-get -q -y -o >

In that case. apt-get update apt-get remove samba winbind --autoremove apt-get dist-upgrade --autoremove apt-get install samba winbind libnss-winbind libpam-winbind tdb-tools apt-get dist-upgrade --autoremove --purge As long as you dont use --purge, everything of samba will stay on the system and you able to install the buster version. idea for an effect
Hey compiz folks, I had some ideas for effects that might help us cause more paroxysms of jealousy in non-compiz users: It would be great if when you close a window, there were a number of options to specify how the window dissappears: 1. fade to transparent (simple and classy!) 2. crack like glass into several pieces and fall off the screen in interesting ways. 3. fly off the screen in a 3d

perl module to parse httpd log on C5
hello, Looking for alternative ideas to parse the combined Apache log: /var/log/httpd/access_log (is how I named it) What I've tried so far is a CPAN search, which pointed me to a recently created module called ApacheLog::Parser >From the C5 shell, I used something like this (heavily refined from how I started) ---------- sh script --------- #rpm --import

[ANNOUNCE] xf86-input-libinput 0.28.1
Only two commits, only one that really matters: previously the driver used the per-device slot number to fetch the tracking IDs from a driver-internal array. Because devices re-use slots, this could cause a tracking ID mismatch when two touchscreens had the finger down at the same time. This is now fixed by switching to libinput's seat-wide slot number instead. Peter Hutterer (3):

Some time ago someone posted a nice script to monitor HTB classes, classmon.pl. A friend of mine ported it to CBQ, and attached is the result. Suggestions are welcome. dynamic PBR, actions, docs and getting it all straight
Hi, Fair warning this may be a bit rambling, and is definitely a bit long. I am trying to prototype a system for doing dynamic policy-based routing (source address dependent based on reverse routes from BGP or other dynamic routing protocols.) We need to do this due to a cacophony of factors I won''t get into. To do so the general plan is to store dynamic routes in their own table,

Error "Failed to setup SPNEGO negTokenInit request" after Samba update to 2:4.3.8+dfsg-0ubuntu0.14.04.2
Hi, I am running an Ubuntu 14.04 server with Samba configured to use Quest Authentication Services for user authentication with an Active Directory infrastructure. After an Samba upgrade from version 2:4.1.6+dfsg-1ubuntu2.14.04.13 to 2:4.3.8+dfsg-0ubuntu0.14.04.2, I am facing the problem that none of the configured Samba shares is accessible anymore. The log contains the following entry:
