UPS not recognized
Hello,
No ttyUSB* device under /dev however the new driver has detected the UPS, the nut services are able to start, just "upsc -l ups" sais unknown error and doesn't return any information. Could be due to the driver unable to detect number of battery packs as reported by the nut-driver.service startup? How can I fix that?

RAID: by host or within KVM?
Hi Virtualizers,
I just setup a CentOS 6 box (at home) to run as a KVM host. It's replacing
an absolutely ancient CentOS 5 server that's running Xen. I have one OS
drive, and two drives in RAID 1 with LVM on top which is being used as the
KVM storage pool.
I created a KVM that will run OpenMediaVault (OMV). OMV requires an OS
drive (which is really a LVM), and a separate drive(s) to

Compressed archives randomly corrupted on a Linux share
Hi,
We have a NAS server with OpenMediaVault on a Debian system.
Mainly we work directly with documents from the LibreOffice and Office
tools.
Sometimes we note at the opening of a LO document that the file is
corrupted and not repairable.
We know LO documents are a bunch of files embeded in a compressed ZIP
archive.
The most of time we can repair them in replacing the corrupted elements

A long time ago, we had a problem with oplocks causing system hangs. It
COULD be related, and I think we ended up downgrading the kernel to 4.9.
https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=198349#c42
But I've since upgraded to OMV 6+ without any problems.

New UPS to the DB
Hi, I have an OEM of KStar UDC9101S which is Megatec protocol rs232 capable
unit.
So I use blazer_ser protocol=megatec /dev/ttyUSB0 with no issue to get NUT
running.
Please direct me what command should I issue to collect the data in order
to include the UPS to device database?
P.S. tryed /lib/nut/blazer_ser -DD... but no difference from a regular
output has being added by the driver.

This PowerCOM device (0d9f:0004) is not (or perhaps not yet) supported

this does not fix the problem, try running the driver with the

Smart1500lcdt will not connect with usbhid-ups KSTAR BM3150 1500VA "Line Interactive" High Frequency UPS
Barry,
I have had success with NUT on Debian and an EATON 5E2000IUSB-AU 5E
2000VA/1200W UPS With 3 x OUTLETS which I believe is good value.
I would believe the the EATON ?5E 1500VA/900W UPS With 3 x OUTLETS
would work just as well.
The 1500VA also uses the same batteries as the 2000VA so I would
believe it would run its raited load longer than 2000VA. My eight
drive RAID driver uses less that

(no subject)
Hello,
I had running OpenMediaVault server with NUT 2.4.3 megatec_usb driver.
After the OMV upgrade, NUT also upgraded to 2.6.4. I realised that
megatec_usb removed in this version. So I have configured to use blazer_usb
driver. However NUT behaves incorrectly after switching blazer_usb. System
is being halted upon booted up.
Is it possible to use megatec_usb driver in the new version?

BIND9_DLZ: TKEY is unacceptable - depending on the name server
Dear Samba experts,
Since a couple of days I am trying to fix my domain.
I have each two ADDCs on raspis on two sites. One is running on Raspian and works fine. The other three are on Gentoo and something is broken there.
When I point the name resolution in resolv.conf to the Raspian machine the dynamic updates are just working fine:

second fs quota root crashes
Hallo.
In our dovecot 1.2.6 server running under Solaris 9 I would like to set up a
second quota root because the mail folders are in the users home directories and
the inboxes of all users are in /var/mail. As soon as I add
quota2 = fs:INBOX:noenforcing:mount=/var/mail
the imap client crashes repeatedly as soon as the user tries to open a mail
folder.
Thanks for any help.
