Hello all, I have ipvsadm-1.24 installed, and there's an error when the service starts: Applying IPVS configuration: /etc/init.d/ipvsadm: line 62: /etc/sysconfig/ipvsadm: No such file or directory is the install broken? I did a "yum whatprovides ipvsadm" and it does say there's a config, but doesn't point to where it is. any suggestions? -- --------------- Morpheus:

Monitoring Xen with Zabbix..
Is anyone using Zabbix to monitoring Xen at the dom0 level? Right now I have the Zabbix agent running in each domU but I would like to get per domU and aggregated statistics from the hyper visor perspective. I see a bunch of ''hard'' ways to collect these stats but first I want to make sure there isn''t some ''magic pill'' for Zabbix / Xen that I might of

anyone care to point me in the right direction? LVS
i'm trying to setup LVS, and tried both the lvs-dr and the lvs-nat, but can't get any to work. I'm hoping people here can answer a few questions that might help and shed light onto the situation? #1 with regards to the Real Servers, is there anything that needs to be configured other that the http service? I ask this, because I suspect yes, and it has to do with what type of LVS you

Paravirt-ops success
I booted into X11 and have networking working and a kernel compile = running. SMP and PAE should be less than a day away. This completes = the proof of concept, I believe ;) I didn't cc LKML since I didn't want to spam them with graphics. Very = controversial graphics. Hopefully you appreciate the humor. playing with Wine on Cygwin
I'm currently playing with Wine on Cygwin on Windows 2000 on VirtualBox. Just to see what happens. Also to see how feasible Wine on Windows is from here. I've been updating the http://wiki.winehq.org/CygwinSupport page accordingly. With the 1.1.11 source tarball, I'm getting a compile error: internettransport.c:348: error:

rsync with 8bit file names?
When trying to sync my TV folder to a mirror drive, episodes with non-ASCII characters in them cannot be processed by rsync. Anything I can do about this? For example, I get this: building file list ... file has vanished: "/Volumes/TV/Raising Hope/Raising Hope - S04E01 - De?\#201ja Vu Man.mkv" This is rsync under OS X: $ rsync --version rsync version 2.6.9 protocol version 29

IPv4 routed virtual networks
OK, either I have taken a stupid pill and am missing something basic or routed network do not work. I assume that, if they did work, it would be in more or less that same manner as a nat network as far as ping'ing, ssh'ing, etc. to another real host on the same real LAN as the virtualization host. At least that is what I believe I should expect. I have googled for info and everything

Can VMWare modules run alongside in XEN kernel?
I would like to have VMware modules running in the XEN kernel, NOT in DOM0 kernel but outside at the hypervisor level, is that possible? Architecturally, I noticed that xen subbranch does not implement any modules loading. If I were to load the VMware modules directly as an ELF image, will it break any existing architectural feature in XEN? Thanks :-).

Using Sampling Weights in R
Dear List, I have a dataset that provides sampling weights (National Survey of Family Growth 2002). I want to produce a cross-tabulation and use the provided sampling weights to obtain representative population estimates. (I believe they are simply frequency weights but codebook is uninformative). I can reproduce results (using this data) that were reported in a recent journal article, if I

Virtual to physical migration
I had created a virtualbox VM to test out opensolaris. I updated to latest dev build and set my things up. Tested pools and various configs/commands. Learnt format/partition etc. And then, I wanted to move this stuff to a solaris partition on the physical disk. VB provides physical disk access. I put my solaris partition in there and created slices for root, swap etc. in that partition inside the

Upgrading LLVM's minimum required CMake version
It is curious to me that we had so much push back about moving host-compiler versions, yet so little on the cmake versions. In my opinion, we need to have a unified ‘dependency age’ policy. Cmake 3.13.4 was released about 18 months ago, so unless we’re willing to move our GCC version to 8.3 JUST as easily, this seems like a horrific double standard. From: llvm-dev <llvm-dev-bounces at
